The ACEM Online Logbook The ACEM online logbook is now accessed via the member portal and is used for both the Paediatric Requirement and for ACEM Special Skills Posts. It functions by linking entries to a current placement that has been entered by the trainee. When making an entry, the entry page identifies the placement entered and whether the case/activity is approved for the Paediatric Requirement or Special Skills requirement. If undertaking two placements at once (i.e. working in ED and non ED simultaneously part time) trainees will be required to select the placement they would like the entry to be applied to. Trainees can enter both clinical and non-clinical activities in the ACEM online logbook for all placements throughout training. Note: All ACEM Accredited Special Skill Placements require either the submission of a learning needs analysis or a logbook of recorded patient cases/activities undertaken. With the patient cases seen, these are now entered using the ACEM online log book.
