At a Glance Who is this for? Students who have recently graduated or are currently studying any bachelor program at any university worldwide. Where? IE s urban Madrid (Spain) campus, located in the center of the city. What is the duration? Three weeks. Monday, July 4 th - Friday, July 22 nd * An optional Orientation Weekend will take place on July 2 nd -3 rd. What is the cost of the program? 3,200 euros Includes: Summer School Tuition, Extracurricular activities, Company visits, Health insurance. Early Bid Application Discount: 300euros discount will apply if full payment of the program is done before May 11 th 2016.
Program Content WEEK 1: The first week students will participate in a number of soft-skill workshops, oriented at improving their interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, personal branding & employability, and communication skills. WEEK 2 AND 3: Entrepreneurship: Upon its completion, participants will be able to recognize the fundamental features of the entrepreneurial mindset, behaviors and skills, and understand the central role of creativity and observation in identifying and developing entrepreneurial opportunities either as standalone businesses, social enterprises, or as part of a larger corporation. Participants will learn how to execute the business model of an entrepreneurial venture, manage its growth, and deal with investors and legal issues. International Relations: Learn about the consequences of globalization and how we, as global citizens, can stimulate development, reduce inequality, solve conflicts, and promote democracy. International Business Law: Experience what it s really like to handle cross border transactions and global clients by working on practical cases that will show you what practicing law in an international environment means. Marketing & Communication: Master the foundations of marketing management, understanding consumer insights in order to reach the right target of a product or service, through various types of communication strategies. You will also have a hint of the latest digital and visual media trends, and see how they empower businesses and brands. International Finance: If you aspire to a career in finance this is your program. Learn how the last financial crisis and the new trends, regulations & technologies are reshaping the financial markets and acquire up-to-the minute knowledge in the most innovative areas of finance, banking and capital markets. Extracurricular activities include guided tours to Madrid s best museums and discover all that Madrid has to offer, visit the best International companies and learn from the best of each industry.
Student Profile * The IE Summer School is specially designed for recent graduates as well as current students from universities around the world. Age range: 18-26 (average age: 22.5) Number of nationalities represented: 29 Academic backgrounds: 42% Business, Finance & Marketing 16% Engineering 15% Law 12% Social Sciences 10% International Relations & Communications 5% Hard Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) Housing IE has negotiated agreements with several student residences located near campus and will send admitted students an information kit including different options suitable for each student s budget. Assistance will be offered upon request. How to apply? The Summer School application process is carried out online. Aplications are reviewed on a rolling basis, once you submit your aplication the admissions team will contact you to schedule an interview. Applications must be submitted before June 20 th 2016.
