(Do Not Wait Until Last Minute To Clear Your Vehicles! You Will NOT Final Out.) Road Tax on all Secondary Vehicles must be current to Ship, Sell or Salvage. SHIPPING A CAR: Make an appointment with Transcar @ 0434-66-1419 Day prior to shipping appointment bring: Current Registration Copy of your orders Gas Card from the BX (only if you are shipping your Primary/Type I vehicle) Cover Plates Receive temporary shipping plates ($5.00 for temporary plates) After appointment with Transcar bring: DD Form 788 (from Transcar) to Pass and Registration to clear your vehicle. Do Not Lose Your Registration! You will need it to register your vehicle at your next duty station/location!!! SHIPPING A MOTORCYCLE: Make an appointment with TMO. Day prior to pick up appointment bring: Current registration Copy of your orders Cover plates Receive temporary AFI shipping plate, but is not mandatory. ($3.00 for temporary plate) Receive exportation letter ( police check ) After TMO appointment bring: Motorcycle shipping document (Must show company name, Contact information and date shipped) Household goods listing with year make, model, and VIN number annotated to clear your motorcycle. DRIVING TO YOUR NEXT DUTY STATION: Bring: Current registration Copy of your orders Gas card from BX (only if vehicle is your primary) Phone number to POC/sponsor at next duty station Cover plates Receive temporary AFI plates ($5.00 for temporary plates) Receive vehicle exportation documents After registering vehicle at next duty station: Send a copy of new registration via email to: 31sfs.Passandreg@Aviano.Af.Mil If you fail to send a copy of you registration you will be liable for all Italian importation/exportation fees!! POA s are only approved in accordance with AABI 31-204 as and are ONLY approved for emergencies (i.e.: Humanitarian, Short notice PCS, unavoidable situation, etc.) Note: Vehicles being on the market and not selling does NOT constitute an emergency. HAVE A CONTINGENCY! Acquiring approval must be conducted well in advance prior to installation departure. Members must first receive authorization from the NCOIC and then receive the Authorization for Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney to bring to the legal office to receive the NOTARIZED Special Power of Attorney. The NCOIC, Pass and Registration is the final approving authority for POA disposition. Individuals that are authorized to leave a POA and clear the Pass and Registration office are then required to do the following: POA s must be left with a SSgt or above, the POA may NOT be the buyer (if selling) and both parties must be present at Pass and Registration to sign the Authorization for Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney generated by the CMVRO program. Individuals that have less than 30 days notice of PCS may leave A POA if they have a passed safety inspection within the last 30 days, the Road Tax/Insurance is valid for the duration of the POA and they have received authorization from Pass and Registration and their SQ/CC. If an individual has had more than 30 days notice of PCS, the POA must be routed and signed by the Squadron CC and Approved/Endorsed by the MSG/CC. Once approved, POA s must have the year, make, and model of the vehicle and must authorize shipment, sale and salvage. RESTRICTED AREA BADGE: Report to your unit security manager FIRST to pick up AF Form 2586 Bring RAB and AF Form 2586 to Pass and Registration for turn in SOGGIORNO: Must be turned in within 7 days of your final out. Turn in your dependents Soggiornos at building 1413, RM 142 the week of your final out appointment If you do not have dependents with Soggiornos you are still required to out-process through the Soggiorno office You are required to bring a hard copy of your out-processing checklist and a copy of your orders with you to outprocess the Soggiorno office (if you do not have a copy you will not be out-processed) If your dependent s Soggiorno has been lost/stolen report it immediately to the Carabinieri office in Area 600 and file a police report. This report will be required to out-process! REPORTS AND ANALYSIS: Go to Reports and Analysis NO LATER THEN 30 days PRIOR to final out. Bring your ID and a copy of orders
