ALL ABOARD for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Junior Engineer Program Welcome. Historically known as the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad s San Juan Extension, the railroad was built in 1880. Today it is known as the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (C&TSRR). It is the most outstanding and best-known example of its kind in North America. To earn your Junior Engineer Certificate, you must complete the questions from your starting Depot to Osier (half of the booklet). Answers to the questions can be found in the book Ticket to Toltec or from your docent (usually found in the Open Air Gondola). When you are finished, find your docent who will check your answers and sign your certificate as a Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Junior Engineer. Welcome aboard.
