Apple Blossoms Note Cards and Holder Designed By: Jamie Adcock February 2011 This is a great gift to give to a friend, co-worker, teacher or anyone you want to show your appreciation to! It s a very quick, easy and economical gift for anyone. Instructions Step 1 Take an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of Baja Breeze card stock and with the short end at the top of your Paper Cutter, score at 2-½. Step 2 Turn your card stock one quarter of a turn and score at 5-¼. Step 3 Flip your card stock around and score again at 5-¼. You should now have two score lines in the center of your card stock with ¼ inch in between.
Step 4 Using your Paper Snips cut your 5-¼ score lines up to your 2-½ score line creating a ¼ tab. You will fold this up and secure it down with SNAIL adhesive. This will give the spine of your note card holder some extra stability. Step 4 Step 5 Using your Paper Snips, cut a small sliver from the bottom of each flap up to the tab. This makes it easier to close your holder. Step 5 Step 6 To decorate your flaps, cut two 1 x 5-¼ strips of Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper (DSP), one for each flap. Also cut two 1 x 5-¼ strips of Daffodil Delight card stock, which you will punch with the Eyelet Border punch.
Step 7 With the outside of your note card holder facing up, attach your Greenhouse Gala DSP to the bottom of each flap. Attach your Daffodil Delight strips above the DSP leaving approximately a ¼ gap between the DSP and the card stock. Step 7 Step 8 Cut a piece of Real Red 5/8 satin ribbon and adhere it in between the DSP and the Daffodil Delight card stock. Step 8 Step 9 Place a Mini Glue Dot on the upper outside corner of the undecorated side of each flap, flip it to the inside of the folder and attach. Adhere a Basic Pearl Jewel on top of the DSP in each corner.
Step 10 To decorate the front cover of your note card holder, cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock to 5 x 5-¾. Cut a piece of Greenhouse Gala DSP to 1-½ x 5-¾. Cut a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock at 1 x 5-¾ and punch with the Eyelet Border punch. Adhere the Greenhouse Gala DSP to the left edge of the Pear Pizzazz card stock. Adhere the Daffodil Delight card stock to the right of the DSP leaving a ¼ gap between the two, as you did on the inside flaps. Run SNAIL adhesive between the DSP and the Daffodil Delight card stock and adhere a piece of Real Red 5/8 satin ribbon to your Pear Pizzazz card stock. Step 11 Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 3 x 5-½. Ink up the large flower stamp from the Apple Blossoms hostess stamp set using a Real Red Classic Stampin Pad and stamp in the top center of your Whisper White card stock. Ink up the stem with leaves stamp from the same stamp set using a Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin Pad and stamp below the flower. Tip: If the edge of your stamp picks up ink, to avoid getting any excess ink on your project, use a Blender Pen to pick the excess ink up off your stamp. Ink the happy thoughts make happy days stamp from the Apple Blossoms stamp set using a Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin Pad and stamp in the lower right corner of the Whisper White card stock. Place a small Basic Pearl Jewel in the center of your stamped flower. Adhere your Whisper White card stock to the Pear Pizzazz panel for the front of your note card holder and attach the entire piece to the front of your note card holder. Step 11
Step 12 Cut a piece of 8-½ x 11 Baja Breeze card stock into four equal 4-¼ x 5-½ pieces. These are your note card bases. Step 13 Cut a piece of 8-½ x 11 Whisper White card stock into four pieces of 4 x 5-¼ pieces. Punch one 4 side of the Whisper White card stock with your Eyelet Border punch. Using a piece of scrap paper, cover the punched edge and stamp your long leaf image from the Apple Blossoms stamp set using a Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin Pad twice on the left edge of your Whisper White card stock. Stamp one small flower image using a Real Red Classic Stampin Pad right above each stem. Place the smallest Basic Pearl Jewel in the center of each flower. Using a Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the just a little note in the lower right hand corner. Using SNAIL adhesive attach the Whisper White card stock to your Baja Breeze card stock base. Stamp the leaf stem and small flower on the front of a Whisper White envelope in the same manner as your note card. Step 13
