1 Island Oasis Purse and Cards Designed By: Jacque Craig May 2010 This little purse holds four cards (two of each design) and makes a great gift! Instructions Step 1 To make your purse, take a 6 x 12 piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and score at ¾ on both long sides. Turn and score at 5-5/8 and 6-3/8. Fold on all score lines and cut to the score line at the middle squares. Step 1

2 Step 2 Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere a 4-1/4 x 5-3/8 piece of Island Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the side that will be the front of your purse. Step 2 Step 3 Step 3 Using Sticky Strip, tuck in the small side squares and adhere the sides of your purse base together. Note: I used both Sticky Strip and SNAIL adhesive. Sticky Strip on the out sides and SNAIL adhesive on the insides next to the score lines. I did this to save on the Sticky Strip, which is a little more costly than the SNAIL adhesive. Step 4 To make the purse flap, take a 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and score at 2-1/2 and 3-1/4. Punch wider end with the Eyelet Border punch. Step 4

3 Step 5 Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere a 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of DSP above the eyelet border. Again using SNAIL adhesive, adhere a 9-1/4 length of Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain ribbon above the eyelet border, with the ends meeting in the front (this will be covered later by your flower). Step 5 Step 6 Using Sticky Strip, attach the back of the flap to your purse base. Step 6 Step 7 Using a Rose Red Classic Stampin Pad, stamp for you image from the One of a Kind stamp set on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Punch out using the Large Oval punch. Using a Pumpkin Pie Stampin Write Marker, color in just the flower on the for you image and stamp again. Cut out with Paper Snips and use a piece of a Stampin Dimensional to adhere over the Rose Red flower.

4 Step 7 Step 8 Using the Scallop Oval punch, punch out an oval from a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Use SNAIL adhesive to adhere the for you to the scallop oval. Use Stampin Dimensionals and adhere to the front of the purse base. Step 9 To make the purse handle, use the 1/16 Circle handheld punch and punch holes on each side of the purse and in the ends of the 13 length of Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain ribbon. Attach ribbon to the purse using two small Pumpkin Pie corduroy brads. Attach a Velcro Dot to the inside of the purse flap to keep it closed. Step 9

5 Step 10 To make the lacey flower that decorates the front of your purse, adhere short strips of Sticky Strip to a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Punch out with the 1-3/8 Circle punch. Step 10 Step 11 Take a 1 x 12 strip of DSP and with the Eyelet Border punch, punch along one long side. Run this strip through the Crimper several times to soften up the DSP. Step 11 Step 12 Attach the eyelet punched DSP strip to the 1-3/8 circle approximately ¼ at a time, going in a circular direction. When done, secure end with a small piece of Sticky Strip, pierce a hole in the center using the Paper- Piercing Tool and Mat, and insert a Pumpkin Pie corduroy brad. Attach to purse front using a Pop-Up Glue Dot.

6 Step 12 Finished Purse Card 1 Instructions Step 1 Take a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock and score in half at 4-1/4. Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere two 2 x 5-1/4 (different) pieces of DSP to card front. Using a Basic Brown Classic Stampin Pad, stamp cheers to you! from the Cheers to You stamp set, on the bottom-right corner of the DSP.

7 Step 2 Again using the Basic Brown Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the coconut drink image from the Tropical Party stamp set on a 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 piece of Whisper White card stock. Color image using Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, and Rose Red Stampin Write Markers. Using SNAIL adhesive adhere this image to a 2 x 2 piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock. Step 3 Tie a 16 length in a square knot around the card where the two pieces of DSP meet. Using Stampin Dimensionals, attach the coconut drink image over the ribbon on the left side of the card. Note: To make multiple cards repeat each step. Card 2 Instructions Card 1 Step 1 Take a 4-1/4 x 11 piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock and score in half at 5-1/2. Using SNAIL adhesive adhere two 2-5/8 x 4 (different) pieces of DSP to card front. Using an Old Olive Classic Stampin Pad, stamp the Thanks So Much image from the Sincere Salutations stamp set on the bottom-right corner of the card. Step 2 Using Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin Pads, stamp the large flower image from the Tropical Party stamp set on scrap Whisper White card stock. Cut out flowers using Paper Snips. Using the Paper-Piercing Tool and Mat Pack, pierce the center of each flower and insert Rose Red and More Mustard brads in the opposite color flowers.

8 Step 3 Tie a 13 length of Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain ribbon around the card where the two pieces of DSP meet. Using Stampin Dimensionals, attach the flowers to the left side of the card. Card 2 Insert cards into purse and give to someone special!
