Checking your version of IE To check the version of Internet Explorer, select About Internet Explorer from the Tools Icon (Short Cut key Alt X). This configuration applies to the following version of Internet Explorer: Proprietary and Confidential to Page 3
Setting Compatibility View IE11 must be set to Compatibility mode for use with Preceda. To do this: 1. Check that you have the Command bar visible, which should look similar to the picture below: 2. If you don t have the command bar, right click on the grey area just below the titlebar, and click on Command Bar. Proprietary and Confidential to Page 4
3. Click on Tools and then Compatibility View settings to bring up the settings dialog. 4. Write preceda.com.au in the box Add this website and then click on the Add button. The URL should then appear in the big box titled Websites you ve added to Compatibility View. 5. Click Close. Close all of your Internet Explorer windows, open Internet Explorer again and log in to Preceda. Proprietary and Confidential to Page 5
Configuring Trusted Sites To use Preceda with IE11 you must set up Preceda as a Trusted Site. 1. From the Toolbar select Tools and then Internet Options. 2. Select the Security tab 3. Select Trusted Sites 4. Click on the Sites button 5. Untick the Require Server Verification (https:) for all sites in this zone box 6. In the Add this website to the zone: box enter www.preceda.com.au 7. Click the Add button. The Preceda URL will then appear in the Websites box (below). 8. Customising ActiveX Controls 1. From the Internet Options screen (Tools, Internet Options) select the Custom Level button (making sure the Trusted Site icon is still selected): Proprietary and Confidential to Page 7
2. Scroll down through the settings until you reach the ActiveX controls and plug-ins and ensure the settings are as per the table below: Description Allow ActiveX Filtering Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt Allow Scriptlets Automatic Prompting for ActiveX controls Binary and script behaviors Setting Proprietary and Confidential to Page 8

Advanced Settings 1. From the Internet Options screen (Tools, Internet Options) select the Advanced Tab 2. Scroll down to HTTP1.1 settings 3. Tick Use HTTP 1.1 4. Tick Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections 5. Click on the OK button Proprietary and Confidential to Page 17
