CONTROL PANEL FEATURES The constant penetration rate function and torque limiter can easily be adjusted. Making and breaking of rods using a joystick increases both productivity and safety. Gear shifting is done from and indicated on the control panel, eliminating the need to climb up the rotation unit to make or break rods. The new mast is easy to position and fold, and can handle up to 6-meter core barrels. A rod centralizer positions the rod for better alignment with the drill string, simplifying threading/unthreading while reducing thread wear. The control panel includes a roof to protect the operator from weather conditions and falling objects, and is swingable to allow the operator to optimize his working position. The new two gear rotation unit has increased time between overhaul and minimized maintenance requirements. The rig is equipped with a safety guard with an interlock function that will perform a controlled rig stop if the guard is opened 3
