Definitions and explanations Gross domestic product (GDP) and Gross value added by production approach measure the total value of finished goods and services produced by resident institutional units during a certain period of time. GDP is equal to the value of all goods and services produced in the economy (output) less the value of all goods and services used in the production process (intermediate consumption). Gross output is defined as a market value of produced goods and services. It is calculated by activities at basic prices, since all subsidies are treated as subsidies on products. Intermediate consumption includes the value of products and services used as input in process of production to produce other product and services in accounting period. Gross value added as increase in value of production is equal to difference between gross output and intermediate consumption. Gross domestic product is computed by adding together the total gross value added and taxes less subsidies on products. FISIM (financial intermediation services indirectly measured) presents the value of services of financial intermediation, which as indirectly measured. FISIM is calculated as difference between the claims according to interest (active interest) and obligations according to interest (passive interest) for the institutional units for financial intermediation. In order to methodological improvements the calculation of gross value added and gross domestic product, imputed rentals is included (the value of dwellings services for owner occupied dwellings). The value of non- observed economy is included in official data of GDP. Illegal activities are not included. For the calculation of GDP at constant prices the concept of the single indicator method is used. The estimates were made at prices previous year.
