GILES DAUBENEY CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER After working in recruitment for Accountancy Selection Limited and Badenoch & Clark Limited, Giles joined the Group in 1988. From 1990 to 1994 he was based in Amsterdam and was responsible for the Group s Dutch and Belgian operations. Giles was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer in 1999, and was appointed to the Board of Robert Walters plc in July 2000. With this appointment, he assumed responsibility for the leading foreign global recruitment consultancy in Japan Robert Walters largest international office and second largest business globally as well as the Group s first office in South Korea. David joined Robert Walters Japan in 2002, bringing an extensive breadth of recruitment industry experience in both Japan and Australia. Prior to this appointment, David led Robert Walters Japan s award-winning Financial Services Division for six years. Under his stewardship, Robert Walters Japan was ranked the No. 1 financial services recruitment firm in Japan in the 2008 and 2009 Asiamoney Headhunters Poll, cementing its position as the leading mid-career financial services recruitment business in Tokyo. MATTHEW BENNETT Managing Director, GREATER CHINA Matthew began his recruitment career in Sydney in 1994, focusing on professional and executive roles in both corporate and banking industry sectors. Since entering Robert Walters Hong Kong in 2001, he helped start five new specialised divisions such as Contracting, Legal, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing as well as Supply Chain, Logistics & Procurement. Robert Walters has now been established as the preeminent recruitment brand in Hong Kong. Matthew took over the management of the Hong Kong office in 2007 and his remit expanded to include Taiwan and Thailand in 2011. These two new offices grew rapidly under Matthew s purview and are set to continue expanding over the next few years. In January 2013, Matthew was appointed as Managing Director for Greater China. Under Matthew s leadership, Robert Walters is expected to maintain as one of the most recognised and respected professional recruitment brands in Greater China. His experience in the recruitment industry has covered both retained executive search and contingent recruitment with a focus on banking. James now manages the Australian business for Robert Walters which spans seven offices and recruits across accounting, finance, banking, commerce, mining, engineering & operations, general management, IT, legal, risk management, compliance & audit, sales, marketing & communications, procurement, supply chain & logistics, oil & gas and secretarial & business support services. Toby Fowlston Managing Director, Singapore Toby Fowlston is the Managing Director of Robert Walters Singapore. He has over 15 years recruitment experience from the UK, having first started his career with Robert Walters UK upon qualifying as a solicitor in 1999. He joined the commerce and industry team as a consultant, and was promoted to Manager of the financial services, accountancy and operations team in 2003. Toby was further appointed Director of the Banking, Insurance, Public Sector and Commerce & Industry divisions in 2005 and Managing Director in 2011. He assumed responsibility of the overall London business in 2012 and moved to Singapore in early 2013. Reporting to Giles Daubeney (COO), Toby is responsible for leading and growing the Singapore office. Before joining Robert Walters, Sally spent most of her career in one of Malaysia s largest leading recruitment firms as a senior consultant. Sally has more than 18 years experience in the executive search and selection industry in Malaysia, and three years experience in a regional HR role with a leading American multinational company. Arthur Wang Managing Director, CHINA Arthur Wang is the Managing Director of Robert Walters China and currently manages the Group s operations in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Nanjing. He has more than 25 years experience in multinational manufacturing companies and professional recruitment consultancies. Arthur joined Robert Walters China as Director of Suzhou office and quickly expanded his remit to include the Group s Nanjing office in 2011. In February 2013, Arthur was promoted from Director of Robert Walters East China to Managing Director of Robert Walters China. Prior to joining Robert Walters, Arthur was the Managing Director of a leading European organisation in China, and possesses extensive experience in developing corporate strategies and managing the company s operations. Prior to this, he managed the highly successful commerce accounting and supply chain divisions for Robert Walters Hong Kong. Before joining Robert Walters in 2006, Anthony recruited in Ho Chi Minh City and has also worked in corporate sales roles within Australia and New Zealand. JOHN WINTER COUNTRY MANAGER, TAIWAN John joined Robert Walters in October 2013 as the Country Manager of Taiwan. Prior to this he was working in Singapore for an international recruitment business, starting and managing several teams within financial services - including risk, compliance, legal and technology. John graduated from the University of Birmingham where he completed a degree in Economics and Social History. He began his career working for Cadbury s, on a graduate scheme, before starting a business in the UK selling medical equipment. His recruitment experience began eight years ago where he initially focused on sales, marketing and finance. Since his transfer to Asia, he has been able to fulfil his passion for travel by visiting several countries around the region. He has more than seven years of experience in the recruitment industry, spanning Europe and Asia. Gerrit graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the Vlerick Management School in Belgium. While completing his course, he worked for a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and upon graduation, joined a recruitment firm in Switzerland and recruited for positions in the banking industry. He was later posted to Antwerp and received the opportunity to launch a new office in Ghent. The Belgian native was tasked with managing the finance and accounting teams in both cities. jon whitehead COUNTRY MANAGER, Vietnam Jon Whitehead was appointed Country Manager of Robert Walters Vietnam in 2013. He has a successful track record in the recruitment industry with more than eight years experience in Amsterdam, Melbourne and Hong Kong. Jon started his career with Robert Walters from 2011 in the Hong Kong office. He specialised in recruiting mid to senior-level supply chain, procurement and logistics professionals across industries. He was later promoted and assumed responsibility of the overall Ho Chi Minh City office in 2013. Jon now leads the team in recruiting across a variety of sectors including accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, sales, marketing, supply chain and engineering.
