Case 1 Halloween Scary Street The amusement park Tivoli Friheden in Århus is planning a Halloween event to take place in week 42. The event where Tivoli Friheden will be staged as a Halloween set piece consists of a multitude of 'scary' activities and offerings. Part of the staging, Scary Street, will be produced by Theater Technician students from Århus technical College. Tivoli Friheden wishes the 2 nd semester multimedia design students, Business Academy Aarhus, to explore into the benefits of applying social software (web 2.0) in the marketing of Scary Street. The question to be answered is: How can social software be a supplement to Tivoli Friheden s existing web marketing? The project consists in developing a micro site using Word Press software, generating dynamic content, and a communication plan for launching the site. The best project will be used by Tivoli Friheden as a supplement to http://www.friheden.dk/underholdning/halloween2009/ Time frame Week 37 Thursday 10: Presentation of the project in room 209. Friday 11, 9 a.m. -2:30 p.m.: formation of groups, group contract, encounter with the theater technicians, target group research and analysis. Week 38 Monday 10-11 a.m.: presentation by Nikolai Milman, Marketing-& Event Manager, Tivoli Friheden. 11:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.: usability and group casework. Tuesday 9 a.m. -2:30 p.m. group casework in combination with project management tools. Wednesday-Friday 9 a.m. -2:30 p.m.: short presentations, supervision and technical assistance, group casework. Week 39 Monday-Tuesday, 9 a.m. -2:30 p.m.: group casework and technical assistance. Tuesday 3:00 p.m.: hand in project. 1

Project groups 3-4 students Requirements and wishes for the product A style-conscious presentation design is required Logo production Implementation of usability and user experience goals Technical Requirements - The site must be implemented as a WordPress site on a publically accessible server. - The site design must be implemented as a WordPress theme. - The resulting HTML pages must validate as XHTML 1.0 or HTML 4.01, and all CSS must be valid (a small number of errors are acceptable). - Use the validators at http://validator.w3.org/ and http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ - Flash can be used for animations, video, sound and interactivity elements.
