General Management Program MBA Basics Master of Business Administration MBA Program MBA Basics and MBA are accredited by:

TC Business School (TCBS) In collaboration with one of the largest institutions for MBA training in the Netherlands, the Business School Netherlands (BSN), we offer a self-contained, comprehensive practical postgraduate program of management and business education (MBA) using a combination of BSN s know-how, the Action Learning principles and the experience of leading Czech managers and consultants and Management TC, s.r.o. own experience of 20 years of delivering management training. Successful participants are awarded an internationally recognized MBA (Master of Business Administration) certificate accredited by BSN. Why choose us? The course is taught in Czech by Czech trainers. The materials used are adapted to Czech conditions and culture. The students put the things they have learned to immediate use in their own situations. This means that their studies can become a source of innovation for their company. Theory is used only as a tool for resolving real-life problems (Action Learning). We use an interactive approach, team work, skills for effective communication and benchmarking. The informal and friendly atmosphere gives the students the energy and confidence they need to try out new ideas. TCBS Study program The full MBA program consists of two levels: First level - MBA Basics, consisting of 11 modules of management models and skills, is a complete program of study in itself and leads to General Management Program (GMP) certificate. This level ends with two case studies of practical application of selected topics that have been covered in the course. The assignments are evaluated by TCBS tutors and they show that the student has fully understood the basic management concepts and theories and is able to apply them in practice. All students who achieve a satisfactory result in the case studies and have attended the training sessions (5 three-day sessions) will be awarded a GMP certificate. Second level -The MBA course consists of the key modules of management and the Action Learning projects, in which students adept and utilizes the theoretical models to improve their organizations. For these projects six specific certificates will be awarded. Following the successful completion and presentation of a dissertation, the student is awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Structure of the second level MBA 1. Human resource management The difference between human resource management and traditional personnel policy, the links between human resource management and the culture of an organization the connection between the key systems of human resource management: recruitment, performance review, personal development and reward system the importance of the human factor to organizational strategy: how the systems of human resource management can contribute to the achievement of strategic goals 2. Operation management The importance of operation management in different types of organization, developing an operation strategy gaining insight into the methods of creativity and analysis and using them to promote innovation in an organization drawing up a plan for improving your organization operations 3. Marketing management Developing marketing plans: planning, strategy, economic psychology preparing the tools for the effective implementation of marketing strategy and plans integrating marketing functions with organizational functions eg. the interdependence between marketing and financial strategy using a management information system 4. Financial management The financial dimension of management, legal configurations, drawing up a financial plan, budgeting methods, investment analysis, annual statement of accounts financial impact of strategic decisions - mergers, acquisitions, the stock market 5. Courses organization and location Time extent of the courses: First level (MBA Basics) : five three-days sessions (generally Thurs-Sat) + a number of meetings to deal with case studies. The courses are opened on an on-going basis throughout the calendar year. Second level - the MBA course: 8 sessions of two or three days and 7 one day sessions in smaller student groups. Location: Zámecký hotel (Castle Hotell), Třešť training centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Methods: The course is based on highly interactive methods (Action Learning) and is supplemented with practical groupwork activities for solving the students own problems and the problems of their companies. Materials: About 1600-2000 pages on the above quoted management areas. The texts used are written in a comprehensible language and they are easy to apply in practice. The materials are regularly updated to stand up to the best practices and contemporary management standards. Students: In order to participate in the course, students must have higher or at least secondary education and at least three years experience in a managerial position.
