In communicative lessons geared to the target group, you will get practice in all of the skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking. There is a strong focus on the language skills needed for real-world situations. At the institute, you will learn in modern, well-equipped classrooms and will have full access to a media resource center, including an extensive collection of practice materials. The German in the evening courses are based on the Common European Framework for Languages, and each course builds on the content of the previous one. This course is suitable for you if you have been working for some time in Germany or are about to begin a residency to train as a specialist at a German hospital. The course will enhance your communication and intercultural skills for the clinical working environment. You will learn new medical and pharmaceutical vocabulary terms, German colloquial expressions for diseases and organs, various forms of clinical documentation, and the correct style for writing physician s reports. We practice patient conversations with you, for example, in taking down medical histories and examination situations.
