Doro Secure 680 Introduction en 3 1 Introduction Scope of the user guide This user guide only describes the telecare functions of the Doro Secure 680. The full version of the user manual is available at the following address: www.doro.co.uk/support/ NOTICE! The services described in this user guide are only supporting functions that might not always be available: The GSM network, therefore the voice and GPRS data, might not always be available. Be aware that depending on the circumstances, the GPS locating can take some time. The inavailability of a GPS signal might cause the GPS locating to not always work. The battery capacity of the Doro Secure 680 is limited. Make sure that the battery is always charged if assistance is needed. When using the GPS locating, charge the battery at least every 2 days. The user of the Doro Secure 680 might not be properly identified, if the SIM card is replaced. To avoid unwanted roaming costs please change the default setup in the Doro Secure 680. Position per button 2.2 Make an assistance call If you require help, press the Assistance call button on the back of your Doro Secure 680 to initiate an assistance call: If available, GPS locating and alarm information are sent to the alarm receiving centre. Doro Secure 680 Operating the Doro Secure 680 en 5 2.3 Cancel an assistance call If you have pressed the assistance call button by mistake, you can cancel the call by pressing the End call button. 2.4 Are you OK? The Doro Secure 680 has a built-in activity monitor, which ensures that an assistance call is made automatically if no answer is given within a preset period of time. At a preset time of the day (configured by the monitoring center), the message "Are you OK?" appears on the display of the Doro Secure 680. The phone vibrates and plays a sound. 1. Press yes, using the left / right selection buttons to confirm that no help is necessary. The phone returns to standby. Press no to confirm that help is needed. If you have answered no, the Doro Secure 680 displays the message "Do you need help?". Depending on the settings, the phone also vibrates and plays a sound. 2. Press no to confirm that no help is necessary. The phone returns to standby. Press yes to confirm that help is necessary. If you have answered yes, an assistance call to the alarm receiving center is started. NOTICE! If you do not answer all these questions within a preset period of time, an assistance call to the alarm receiving centre is automatically started. 6 en Operating the Doro Secure 680 Doro Secure 680 2.5 Position per Button The last available GPS position can be sent upon request to the alarm receiving centre. 1. Press button B. 2. The Doro Secure 680 displays the message "Sending position" and an hour glass is shortly displayed. 3. If the satellite icon is visible on Doro Secure 680 display, the current GPS location is sent. 2.6 Amber Alert The Doro Secure 680 has a special function Amber Alert, designed to monitor dangerous situations. If, within a preset period of time the Amber Alert is not cancelled, then an assistance call to the alarm receiving center is automatically started. 1. Press button A to activate and start the Amber alert. A message "Amber Alert activated" is shortly displayed. 2. A preset count-down timer is started. During this time, the Doro Secure 680 displays the following status symbol: If the user has not deactivated the Amber Alert by pressing button A on the device within a predefined period of time, the Doro Secure 680 displays the message: "10 seconds before the alert. Cancel? " Depending on the settings, the phone also vibrates and plays a beep sound. NOTICE! If you do not cancel the Amber Alert within 10 seconds or do not answer, an assistance call to the alarm receiving center is automatically started.
