Nautical Heritage Day 02 - Full Day Lagos / Sagres Board on a expedition to the era of the Navigators to unveil their ancient stories. As well as, admire the beautiful landscape of the coastline. Starting our quest in Sagres, at Infante Dom Henrique Navigator Fort (Fortaleza de Sagres), an impressive fortress from the XV century where Infante Dom Henrique had his navigation school. A pleasant walk away is Cape St. Vincent with a lovely lighthouse and amazing views of the coastline. After admiring this unique beauty, we shall proceed to Lagos. Along the way we ll stop at Ponta da Piedade to appreciate the unique seascape. Lagos played an historical role in the 15 th century, it was the sailing point of many expeditions. The city is bursting with history in its narrow streets and landmark monuments like Chapel of Santo Antonio. We ve the afternoon to explore these incredible sights.
Best Kept Secret Day 02 - Casa do Avó Restaurant - Salgados After a day admiring and appreciating the Portuguese heritage and its beautiful surroundings. We suggest having dinner at Casa do Avô, an matchless restaurant in Vale do Parra near Albufeira. True Sanctuary of Nature Day 03 Ria Formosa - Half Day Discovery Start the day discovering the most beautiful spots of the Algarve Coast! Leaving from Faro Harbour, a calm two and half hour boat trip through the Ria Formosa canals. Where you ll be able to observe fishermen fishing on their boats whiles appreciating its vegetation and our greatest stars: the birds. Take a break at the Deserta Island for a pleasant walk along the beach, collecting shells, bird watching and enjoying the singular beauty of the dunes and of its peculiar vegetation.
Mystical Origins Day 03 - Olhão / Tavira / Faro Half Day For the afternoon enjoy a unique and incomparable tour passing by three charming towns in the eastern Algarve, Olhão, Tavira and Faro. Our first stop is Olhão, a town known for its flatroofed cubist houses built under Arabic influences. We shall explore the waterfront fish markets overlooking the incredible islands of Ria Formosa. After unveiling the market, we ll proceed to Tavira, a lovely and ancient Moorish town. With a unique location on the riverbank of Gilao featuring a IV century seven-arched Roman bridge. Here we ll be visiting the medieval castle and Santa Maria Church. Our final destination is Faro, an alluring town where the past and present walk together in perfect harmony. A place with Roman and Arab influences, to discover this intriguing heritage we re going to have a guided tour in the city center.
