Step 1 Open an account with North Middlesex Savings Bank. Easy MAX checking is a one size fits all account! Step 2 Stop using your previous checking account. Allow time for any outstanding checks, final direct deposits and/or automatic payments to clear. Make certain that you leave enough funds to cover these transactions. Step 3 Change direct deposits and deductions from your old checking account. Written notices need to be provided to those that automatically deposit or deduct from your old checking account. Below we have provided simple to complete forms for your convenience. If you provide us with all of the information, we only need your signature to complete the transition, how easy is that? Step 4 Close your account. Before you close your existing account, verify that all checks have cleared and all automatic transactions have successfully transferred to your new account. Don t forget to destroy any unused checks, deposit slips, ATM and debit cards.

Other: Disability Payments, Insurance, Alimony, Child Support, etc. HELPFUL HINTS: Note that some companies or organizations, like the Social Security Administration may require a special form. Automatic payments should take effect within two withdrawal periods. Keep your old account open until all automatic payments have been switched to your new NMSB account. If you don t see the change by this time, please contact the company. Direct deposits should take effect within two to three deposit periods.
