If you need help completing any of thes e forms, just stop by G reater Nevada or give us a call at (775) or (800) Your Greater Nevada Credit Union Routing Number: To find the account numbers for your old account, look at the bottom of your checks for a series of numbers. Routing Number Account Number Check Number The routing number is the first nine digits of the series, beginning with a number between 01 and 12 or 21 and 32. *If you receive direct deposits such as payroll, retirement or Social Security payments, please contact the depositor for instructions on changing these deposits to your new Greater Nevada account.

2 USING THE SWITCH KIT It s as easy as OPEN UP your new accounts Your first step is to open your new Greater Nevada share savings and checking account.* Once this account is open, we can start the process of closing your old checking account. 2. CLOSE DOWN your old accounts Be sure to leave your old checking account active long enough to allow outstanding checks and automatic withdrawals to clear. Leave enough money in the account to cover these transactions. This process may take several weeks. Once you re sure that the old accounts are inactive, you can ask your previous financial institution to send you the balance from that account. Then you can destroy your old checks, ATM/debit cards and deposit slips. 3. SWITCH OVER your automatic transactions The attached forms will help you contact the companies and financial institutions that. handle your automatic deposits and withdrawals. Use this checklist to keep track of people you may need to contact: Di rect Deposit: Your employer s human resources or payroll department The company handling your retirement or pension payments Social Security Administration Anyone who makes automatic withdrawals from your account: Your mortgage company Homeowner s insurance Auto insurance Life insurance Utility companies Other YOU RE DONE. *$5 membership fee required. $25minimum deposit.

3 Frequently Asked Questions How do I close my accounts at other financial institutions and move them to Greater Nevada? Simply complete the attached Greater Nevada Account Closure Request form and mail or fax it to your other financial institution. You can even request that the remaining balance on your account is sent to your new Greater Nevada Credit Union account. What about any outstanding checks that I have written on my current account? You will need to make sure all checks and automatic debits have cleared before completely closing your accounts. This can be done by balancing your account before you close it and by beginning to use your account at Greater Nevada immediately in order to allow all checks to clear and all automatic debits to be transferred. What about the bills I pay automatically from my other account? Complete the attached Greater Nevada Change AutomaticWithdrawal Request form and mail or fax it to the companiesthat receive your automatic payments. It usually takes about 30 days from the time they receive your request to switch automatic payments over to your Greater Nevada account. How can I switch my Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction/Allotment to Greater Nevada? Complete the attached Greater Nevada Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction/Allotment Request form and give it to your employer.
