2016 USA SHOOTING SHOTGUN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS COLORADO SPRINGS, CO JULY 10-19, 2016 WHATS NEW Due to high demand, it is now required that everyone making entry into our 2016 USAS Shotgun National Championships have a PTO on file within RailStation (USAS database system) within the last year. A PTO is defined as to any reported score within the previous year posted to the current member s profile. A PTO can vary from a club weekend match, an official State JO, 2015 Shotgun Spring Selection, etc. As a result of increased travel costs, prices for entry have increased. While we make every effort in order to keep costs low, USAS must also ensure we have adequate staffing at all events. All international entries will now be charged a one-time event entry fee of $25 in addition to their discipline entry fee. SCHEDULE A detailed schedule can be found below. START TIMES Trap: 8AM Skeet/Double Trap: 8AM COURSE OF FIRE Trap: 250 (75+50+75+50) Double Trap: 300 (150+150) Skeet: 250 (75+50+75+50) BASIC INFORMATION 1. The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) may conduct testing for banned substances. a. Competitors or their physicians may address questions concerning medication to the USADA Drug Hotline at 1-800-233-0393. b. Remember that even over-the-counter medications can contain a banned substance. Always check first with your doctor and the Drug Hotline before taking any medication. 2. All U.S. participants must be individual members of USA Shooting (USAS). To renew or signup for membership, please visit our website and click on Membership. You can also call Membership Manager Amber Aragon at 719-866-4743. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS International competitors are welcome to shoot this competition, provided they are members of their home federation. International competitors background information must go through a security check with Fort Carson personnel and therefore we require a copy of each competitor s

passport. To register for this event, simply email your entry form to pete.carson@usashooting.org along with a copy of the picture page of your passport. Preregistration is required and entry fees may be paid upon check-in at the event. International competitors are required to pay a one-time fee of $25.00. International competitors must obtain a firearms permit to import a shotgun into the United States. USA Shooting will assist in obtaining the required import permit. Please download the BATFE 6NIA form from the USA Shooting website at www.usashooting.org Competitions Match Information 2013 Shotgun Nationals BATFE form 6NIA. CODE OF CONDUCT By registering for this competition you are agreeing to abide by the USA Shooting Code of Conduct both on and off the range complex for the duration of the event. As a participant, you are representing our sport and organization. Providing an example of good conduct, appearance and sportsmanship is paramount. The Code of Conduct is available in the Competition Entry Office and on the USAS website. SQUADDING Squadding for this match will be done at the Match Directors discretion. AMMUNITION Winchester ammunition will be available for sale at $80 a flat. Only complete flats will be able to be returned. You will not be able to purchase boxes of ammo. UNOFFICIAL TRAINING: Unofficial training will be available July 8 th and 9 th from 9A to 4P. There may be other times available for unofficial training depending on the schedule. If there are additional times, it will be published to the website under Events > Match Information and also posted at the range. Practice will be priced at $8 per round of Skeet and Trap and $9 per round of Double Trap. SELECTION This match is a selection for the National and National Junior Team only. See procedures on the USAS website for additional selections. RULES This competition is governed by current USA Shooting Rules and any Match Director's bulletins posted for this competition. It is the competitor s responsibility to be familiar with the USA Shooting Rules. ENTRY INFORMATION Entries will be accepted up until range capacity. Online $180 per event Late Entry after June 26th, 2016 $240 per event CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS Anyone who must cancel his or her registration should inform the USA Shooting Competitions Division as soon as possible. Cancellations may be made by calling 719-866-4897 or by email at pete.carson@usashooting.org. Refund of entry fees will be as follows:

1. Cancellations received on or prior to June 14 th, 2016 will receive a full refund, minus a 10% administrative fee. 2. No refunds will be given after June 14 th, 2016. 3. Proof of Military deployment will receive a full refund. REGISTRATION 1. All competitors must be current members of USA Shooting. 2. The USA Shooting classification system will be used. It is the competitor s responsibility to confirm their age and classification upon check in. If you do not state your classification and/or category correctly, you will not be eligible for that particular award. There will be no changes after competitor check-in and awards will not be redistributed. 3. Competitors must check in, verify their entry information and pick up their competitor number in person or be represented by their team official. 4. Check-in for all events will be done at the clubhouse, not later than noon the day prior to the first match day in which the athlete competes. If you cannot make it on time, please contact us at 719-866-4897 or by email at pete.carson@usashooting.org. 5. Entries may be confirmed online or by calling the Competitions Division at 719-866-4897. 6. Registration for those not previously entered will stop at noon on the official training day. 7. All competitors MUST have a PTO score on file with USA Shooting to compete in this match. Should the number of entries received exceed range capacity; slots will be awarded based on an individual s highest PTO score (in the last 12 months) on record with USA Shooting. 8. You must scroll to the bottom of your membership page, ensuring all data is correct and then click next. This will take you through to the registration page, followed by the payment page. Please call 719-866-4884 if you have difficulties registering. Please note we will accept entries up to range capacity. FINALS & AWARDS 1. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for finals and selection to the National Team (NT) and Junior Team (NJT). 2. Junior & Senior finals will take place provided there are at least six participants in the applicable event. 3. If an Open finalist forfeits their slot in a Final, that slot will not be filled with another shooter. A Junior forfeiting their slot in the Junior Final to shoot in the Open Final may be replaced with the next highest scoring Junior. The Open Men s, Open Women s, Junior Champion, second place and third place finishers will receive medals. a. These awards are based on match score plus finals. b. Trophy plaques will be presented in those events that have a National Championship trophy. 4. The senior champion, second place and third place finishers for both men and women will receive an award provided that there are at least six competitors. Seniors are described as anyone 50 years of age and over (Senior, Intermediate Senior and Veteran Senior). CLASS / CATEGORY AWARDS 1. 1 st, 2 nd, & 3 rd place overall Men s, Women s, Junior and Senior finishers are not eligible for class / category awards. These awards are based on match scores without finals. 2. Class awards will be given to the high scoring competitor in each class (A, B, C, D) providing:

a. There are three entries in the class for first place. b. There are five entries in the class for second place. c. There are seven entries in the class for third place. 3. If there are not enough entries in a class, competitors will be combined with the next higher class. 4. Category awards will be given provided there are at least three entries in each category. a. Men s Categories i. High Collegiate b. Women s Categories i. High Collegiate c. Junior Categories i. High J2 ii. High J3 d. Senior Categories i. High Intermediate Senior (60-69) ii. High Senior Veteran (70 +) 5. We encourage all participants to stay for the awards ceremony and show support for fellow shooters. Those who are unable to attend the award ceremony should collect their award from the Entry Office, prior to leaving. Those who do not collect their award will be responsible for the mailing fees and contacting USAS for the award. NATIONAL TEAM & NATIONAL JUNIOR TEAM PLACEMENT Please reference the Policies & Procedures posted online under the Resources tab. You can also click here. TEAM AWARDS Teams may be submitted with appropriate fees on site only. Shooters may register a team up until the first shot of the match is fired. Awards are calculated on the match scores not including finals. All team members must be current members of a USA Shooting official club. Teams can be mixed but must contain at least three registered participants. ACCOMMODATIONS Please reference the hotels published on our website for great rates by clicking here. SUBJECT TO CHANGE Please keep in mind that the match schedule, match program and squadding are subject to change as well as any information in this program. Although we make every attempt to maintain the published schedule/program, machine malfunctions, weather and other items are out of our control. It is the responsibility of the competitors and/or coaches to check the schedule and squadding daily and most importantly in the evening. Updated information will be posted to the web (under Events Match Information).If a change is made the Match Director will publish an official Match Director s Bulletin. USAS is not responsible for missed flights, airline change fees, missed squads, etc. Please keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements and schedules.
