What is C.L.A.S.S? Course Listing, Advising, and Student Services offers on-line access to important student information. It can be used from any computer, anywhere, that can reach the internet. This includes: Your Course registration (when available) Your Course confirmation (listing room locations) Your Financial Aid Your Bill Your Grades Your Transcript Course Directory (including seats available) You can find CLASS online, just connect to the internet and go to http://class.adelphi.edu using your favorite web browser (i.e. Netscape, Internet Explorer even AOL.) Overview The Student Access Module provides access to the logged-in student s academic, biographic and financial information. Using the Student Access Module, an authorized student may view and change information in their personal database. The following capabilities are provided: Login Log in to the student information system using ID and PIN My PIN Change Personal Identification Number (a.k.a. password) My Advisor View advisor's contact information, send email My Registration View class registration and submit drops and adds My Course Confirmation View class schedule for specific term My Financial Aid View detailed financial assistance by term My Billing View account balance and detailed transaction history by term Make a Payment Use our secure form to make a Visa or Mastercard payment My Grades View class grades for specific term My Transcripts View detailed transcript of classes, grades, grade point information Course Directory Display course offerings and seats available Faculty Search Display directory information for selected faculty Logout Terminate login Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Login The Student Login Page requests your login ID and password (PIN) so that only authorized users may access information. There are two acceptable login ID's: your social security number (9 digits), or your Adelphi University ID number (7 digits). Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 5

Student Menu The Student Menu page displays the various options available to you. You may choose any option or click on Logout to exit the site. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 6

My PIN As a new incoming student you will be able to create a PIN (Personal Identification Number). After your initial login, it is strongly recommended that you use the My Pin page to change your PIN from time to time for security reasons. My Advisor The My Advisor page displays information which will help you to make contact with your advisor. You can send email to your advisor by clicking on the highlighted name. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 8

My Registration After you log in to our system, you can select your courses, notify your advisor, receive approval from him/her, and register online without having to come to the Registrar's Office. The two main 'stages' of the procedure are the following: Planning - this timeframe begins approximately two weeks before priority registration begins. You'll select the courses appropriate to your major, indicate the special grading option available, (normal, pass/fail, audit) and even select alternates for your advisor to approve (in case a course you've selected isn't available). Once you're finished with your selection, click on "Submit" and your advisor is notified. Priority Registration - Once you receive your advisor's approval, you login at your appointed time and submit your registration to the system. You'll immediately be able to see your course confirmation, listing your courses and their location. Notes: On the undergraduate level, academic advising is required of all majors. Graduate students should check with their departments for required approvals. You will need your PIN, so make sure your remember it. Be prepared - don't wait until the last minute The " My Registration " page will allow you to register, add or drop classes for a term. You can register (add) a course by course number or by searching for a class (using department or by start time). Once you are satisfied with your classes, click on the "Submit " button. This will make your registration available to your advisor. Periodically check the system to see if your advisor has evaluated your choices. Once your advisor electronically 'approves' your courses, they will become available to you. My Course Confirmation The "My Course Confirmation" page displays the listing of all courses you have registered for in a given semester. Listed are the course number, title, credits, meeting time, meeting place, instructor and status for each class. Also on this page you can send an email to an instructor (by clicking on the instructor's name) or you can display other terms by clicking on the term links at the top of the page. My Financial Aid The "My Financial Aid" page displays a list of the student's grants, scholarships and loans by term. For each item, the amount awarded to the student is displayed along with the status of the award. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 12

My Billing The "My Billing" page displays the charges and credits that have been posted to your account, along with a subtotal by term. Your summary (by term) is displayed at the top of the screen, with the ability to either scroll down or click on a term for more details. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Make a Payment By choosing this menu option, your current account balance will be displayed. Click on the 'Make a Payment' button. You will be directed to our Bill Payment System where you will use a secure form to enter Visa or Mastercard information to make a payment to your student account. My Grades The "My Grades" page displays all grades that have been recorded for you for a particular term. This page also displays the course number, title, instructor, Quality Hours and Quality Points as well as the semester and cumulative GPA. My Transcript The "My Transcript" page allows you to display your entire academic record (by term) with a semester summary at the end of each term and with a cumulative summary overall. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 17

Course Directory The Course Directory capability provides an on-line list of all courses currently offered by your institution with information about each class. The first page selects the department to be displayed.. Adelphi University -- C.L.A.S.S. Reference Manual -- Student Access 18

Faculty Search (Directory) The "Faculty Search" page will display a directory of faculty. A selection page allows you to search the database for people whose names start with the letters entered in the last and first name fields. The selection page also provides links to perform the search for a particular letter of the alphabet or by department. Information displayed includes name, office, campus telephone number, department, title and office hours. If personnel images are stored, they will display also.
