Foreword The book Current Approaches in Social Sciences is a collection of research papers on a wide range of social science issues written by researchers from several different universities and institutions. DOĞAN, ÜNLÜ, and AKŞİT empirically investigate the relationship between emotional burnout and anger in the textile sector. AKDOĞAN and ALTUNTAŞ examine the covert marketing strategy which is an alternative way to reach consumers. ÇELİK and SAYGIN analyse the effects of authentic leadership features on the crisis preparedness levels of organisations in the case of Erdemli, Turkey. The study by SAYGIN and SARIOĞLU aims to investigate the relationship between social capital and word of mouth marketing in network society in the case of Silifke Vocational School. ŞANTAŞ, ÇIRAKLI, UĞURLUOĞLU, and ÇELİK empirically investigate the perceptions of health personnel about ethical leadership behaviour. KARAKOÇ attempts to explore the transformation of the Istanbul Stock Exchange Market to Borsa Istanbul. The study of IRAZ and ULUKAPI aims to empirically examine the effects of organisational capabilities on innovative performance in the case of Konya Teknokent. ATLI attempts to conceptually study employer branding at the intersection of human resources management, marketing, and communications. The study by BİLGİN TURNA focuses on film-induced tourism in the case of Rize, Turkey. AYDOĞAN, EKMEKÇİOĞLU, DEMİRDAĞ, and ERGİN DEMİRDAĞ aims to examine the relationship between type A personality and procrastination tendency among academics. ACAR ERDUR, SARAÇ, and BAYRAM scrutinise the relationship between organisational silence and organisational commitment as a moderating role of organisational climate. ERDURAN analyses whether the attitudes of youth towards brands are a type of addiction or loyalty. The study of KARA and ACAR ERDUR provides evidence from Turkey regarding the relationship between women participation on boards and financial performance. FARINA, ARDA, and BIÇER qualitatively study the value systems of generation Y in Turkey. KURŞUNMADEN and SUMMAK study public relations as an instrument to smooth the negative reflections of organisational cynicism. A sectoral research study conducted by YILDIRIM aims to examine the impact of organisational culture on job satisfaction. GÜROL, ÇETINARSLAN, ENER, PALAZ, and SÖNMEZ attempt to analyse the effect of strategic staffing on innovation performance of high-tech firms. A field survey of AKGEMCİ and KIZILOĞLU aims to determine whether personality traits have an impact on organisational identification. KARABULUT and

The study of ETİ, AZABAGAOĞLU, and İÇLİ focuses on the socio-economic profile of organic food consumers in Turkey. ÇAVUŞ and KORKMAZ examine the relationship between the levels of academic staff job satisfaction and burnout in the case of a private university in Kyrgyzstan. ÖZCAN and BARCA inspect Weber s pendulum as a perception of authority at work. ADALI, KUNDAKCI, and TUŞ analyse the integrated ANP and DEA approach for selection problems. BİNGÖL and ERDEN conduct research in the banking industry for the relationship between corporate social responsibility perception of employees and organisational commitment. BAYRAKTAR carries out content analysis of job advertisements in newspapers published in Ottoman Turkish. YAZICI, KIZILYALÇIN, and TOPRAK examine green product purchasing behaviours in the case of vocational school students. DİKMETAŞ YARDAN, OCAK, and TEPEBAŞ analyse the effects of nurses mobbing perceptions on their working performances. GÖRKEY AYDINOĞLU scrutinises education-based indicators of human capital for a sample of Central and Eastern European countries. UYGUR and OKYAY study the impact of institutionalisation dimensions on consumer behaviours for an accommodation business sample. AYYILDIZ and YAZICI study the impacts of the demographic variances of tourism students on state-trait anxiety levels. The study by CEYDA, TÜRKYILMAZ, and GÜRDAL focuses on corporate reputation and marketing activities. The conceptual work of AKYÜZ focuses on earth s struggle for existence against the consumption ghost. YALÇINKAYA KOYUNCU and YILMAZ analyse the impact of privatisation on earnings in transition countries. KÖSE and BAYRAKTAR analyse fascism and its body politics. CANDAN examines the need for human resources professionals. DİRİL analyses the impact of tax burden and tax responsibility on the assignment of obligations. ERIGÜÇ and ERIŞ evaluate management and academic achievement for a sample of vocational school of health services students. ARMAĞAN, TOKMAK, and DIKICI conduct a survey on consumers living in Nazilli, Turkey to determine hedonic consumers consumption causes of differences in terms of socio-demographic characteristics. TAŞTAN examines the impact of organisational culture on a two-factor model of environmental and psychological empowerment to assess behavioural and motivational approaches. AKDENIZ and GÜMÜŞTEKIN empirically study the relationship of organisational cynicism and job satisfaction. AR analyses the increase in work accidents and examines the socio-economic impact of work accidents in Turkey.
