Applicable transfer rates are found on page 7 1) "FLIGHT OF THE ANGELS" BY HELICOPTER These flights depart throughout the day. Clients are collected from their hotels before their flight time. When they arrive at the Heli-Pad, they are given a brief safety talk and an explanation of the route their flight will take. Clients are flown over the Falls and surrounding areas which enables them to take amazing photos from a unique view point. Rate is subject to increase if less than 2. 2) LUNCH OR SUNDOWNER CRUISES ON THE ZAMBEZI RIVER While cruising UPSTREAM along the Zambezi River in a relaxing atmosphere, a variety of game can be seen including hippos, crocs, elephants and even rhino. The sunset cruises have more of a party feeling and include finger snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks. There are great opportunities for photos against the spectacular sunset. Sundowner cruises are included in the rate at lodges such as River Club, Toka Leya and Tongabezi Breakfast cruise - 2 hours ($110.00 per person minimum 2 people, with River Safaris Lunch cruise 2 hours ($65.00 per person minimum 10 people on the African Queen Sundowner cruise 2 hours ($80.00 per person) (on the African Queen) 1
3) LIVINGSTONE ISLAND LUNCH (Subject to water levels check availability) Once you've pulled back from the edge of the falls, enjoy an exclusive brunch, champagne lunch or a high tea on Livingstone Island. David Livingstone first viewed the falls from this island, now named in his honor. 2.5 hours ($175.00 pp) 4) WHITE-WATER RAFTING Enjoy a day of white-water rafting (US$10.00 park fee pay direct in cash not included in trip cost). There is a courtesy transfer service from all the main hotels. WWR departs daily. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the morning. A guide will give a briefing and safety talk before departing for the gorge. Please be warned that there is a very steep and long climb out of the gorge at the end of the day, approx. 750 feet to the top and requires a reasonable degree of fitness. The morning is spent riding the rapids before stopping for a light lunch. If you are booked during 'low water' (August- January), you will continue rafting in the afternoon. It is a fascinating insight into a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for many years. Allow approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at the village. Tour is only available to guests of the River Club 2
6) MORNING BREEZERS (Subject to water levels please check availability) Depart from the Royal Livingstone dock for a fun excursion that takes you to the edge of Victoria Falls. Your guide navigates the small jet boat around the islands above the falls to Livingstone Island. Once on the island you walk to where the falls begin and then it s into the water and you swim across to the rocks located directly above the falls. Return to Livingstone Islands for snacks and drinks before the boat ride back to the dock. Aug-Dec Bathing suits and aqua socks are recommended. 7:30 am, 9:00 am or 10:30 am departures from the Livingstone hotel dock. $110.00 per person 7) HALF DAY ELEPHANT-BACK RIDE Morning and afternoon trails are available. The morning trail lasts about 4 hours and ends with a full English breakfast and the opportunity to view a video of each guest s elephant ride. Pick-up from the Day Activity Centre at 06h30, drop off at 11h00. The afternoon safaris go on for about 4 hours with snacks at the end of the day and the opportunity to view a video of each guest s elephant ride. Pick-up from the Day Activity Centre at 14h45, drop off at 19h30. The trails begin at Thorntree Lodge in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park an attractive lodge overlooking the Zambezi River. After a short introductory talk and safety briefing guests are introduced to the elephants and their handlers before mounting the great animals. The handler and no more than two guests on each animal then head off through the riverine bush, crossing the river in shallow water to get onto islands. Halfway through the ride guests will dismount and interact with the elephants on the ground giving the guides an opportunity to make an interesting an informative explanation about the African Elephant and their relationship with man. Children must be 10 years or older. A guardian must accompany all children under 16 and a guardian must sign an indemnity form for all persons under 18. 8) TOUR OF THE FALLS AND CHIEF MUKUNI S VILLAGE (ex Sun International Properties) Clients are accompanied by an experienced guide, who after a brief history and explanation of the Falls escorts them through the winding paths pointing out and elaborating on points of interest. They are also given information on the plants, birds and other wildlife that they come across. After the tour of the falls, clients are taken to the traditional village. They will learn about the history of how the tribe began and how they have evolved. There are local people in the village performing traditional skills such as carving, basket weaving and even cooking. Clients will then have the opportunity to shop in the attached market and Curio shops for souvenirs and gifts. $85.00 per person (does not include park fees) 9) BUNJEE JUMP - off Victoria Falls Bridge (not Monday) Age limit: 14 years (children under the age of 18 need an indemnity form signed by their parent.) Weight limit: minimum 40kgs, maximum 150kgs. People declaring medical conditions which may be adversely affected by the jump are not permitted to jump. A medical kit is kept on the bridge. Trained in first-aid, the staff is on hand on the bridge during operations. The Victoria Falls Bridge lies in "no mans land" between the Zimbabwean and Zambian border posts. On arrival at the registration area, clients are screened, weighed and registered for the jump. Prior to jumping, clients are briefed individually. This includes: How the harness system works, the final jump procedure to be followed on the platform, what to expect during the jump and the recovery procedure. 10) BIG AIR EXPERIENCE This adrenalin rush includes a Bunjee jump, Bride Slide and Bridge Swing * Bunjee Jump ~ you will get to experience 111 meters of sheer adrenalin, as you plummet towards the mighty Zambezi. This is without a DOUBT one of the most spectacular jumps in the world! 4 seconds of free fall, of speeds up to 120km/hr. You can either do a Solo or Tandem Jump. * Bridge Slide ~ The Bridge Slide offers you a remarkable opportunity of sheer fun in front of the falls. The slide begins on the Zambian bank of the gorge and ends on the Zimbabwean side of the bridge. As the client slides from the gorge towards the bridge, they get an incredible view of the falls and the bridge * Bridge Swing ~ The swing is done using two 65 meter static line climbing rope attached to a 10 ton safe working load cable by a steel clamp. A 1m-bungi cord is positioned on the clamp to provide the swinger with a smoother ride and more comfortable swing. Swingers remain in a seated position throughout the recovery and can enjoy the view of both the falls and the bridge. 12) ROYAL LIVINGSTONE EXPRESS The Royal Livingstone Express is a nostalgic rail experience. You are collected from your hotel and transferred to the vintage first class lounge. The train departs at 5:45 pm and travels towards Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park at which time you can game view from the comfort of the luxurious rail car. As darkness falls, you are invited to one of the two dining cars which hold a capacity of 92 guests and served a gourmet 6-course meal. The train returns to the station at approximately 9:30 pm at which time you are transferred back to your hotel. ($180.00 per person including transfers, dinner and wine, beer and soft drinks.
