My master thesis concerned the behavioral effects of chronic antidepressant treatment on rats. This was a part of a larger project, of which some results have been published (see list of publications). Before my master I did a bachelor in Psychology with a thesis concerning gender and language. As of april 2015 I am undertaking a Ph.D. at Oslo And Akershus University College Of Applied Sciences. This Ph.D. is in Behavior Analysis, and the project will deal with prosociality in rats. On my spare time I do some writing for Permafrost.today. This is a Norwegian website that does news, interviews and reviews of music ranging from rock to extreme metal, with progressive focus. Prior to writing for Permafrost.today I wrote for www.iconmusicmag.com, however this website is no longer active. The archival material is still available. Music Journalist at Permafrost.today July 2015 - Present (1 year) Online webzine where I contribute with music reviews, interviews and perhaps also other music related musings in the future. Norwegian writings for now. Course Coordinator at Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus August 2015 - Present (11 months) I am course coordinator for "PSYK2100 Collecting, Recording, and Analyzing Data". This is a bachelor level course, and a mandatory part of the Bachelor In Learning Psychology at HiOA. I am responsible for most of the lectures and the exam. The course is held in Norwegian. Store Clerk/Safety Representative (Verneombud) at Coop Norge August 2012 - March 2015 (2 years 8 months) -Managing the fruit section (ordering produce and updating the selection). In my position as safety representative (verneombud) my job entailed bettering the work environment in the store in regard to social and safety aspects. Music Journalist/Administration at Icon Music Mag August 2007 - October 2014 (7 years 3 months) An online student webzine that did music journalism, based in Trondheim, Norway. Mostly I did album/concert reviews, and interviews with bands/artists. During some of my time there I worked with online publication and hiring of staff. In October 2014 the webzine was shut down. My work is still online at www.iconmusicmag.com, with most of it being written in Norwegian. Research Assistant at NTNU August 2012 - March 2013 (8 months) Analyzing and counting rat hippocampal cells manually with imagej. This was done part time, and unpaid, on raw data collected by Dr. Surget, my MSc thesis co-advisor. The aim was to locate cells labelled with an activity indicator. Research Assistant at NTNU August 2007 - June 2008 (11 months) Part time work as transcriber for two different PHD projects at NTNU. I mainly transcribed qualitative interviews during this period, while studying. Safety and Elected Representative/Initial compulsory military service at Forsvaret - Norwegian Armed Forces August 2006 - July 2007 (1 year) I worked as soldier at the base, manning service desk at the library and working with the safety and social environment of the other soldiers in my squad. December 2015 to Present In 2015 we started a journal club were PhD candidates from the Health Faculty at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences present interesting and relevant papers. Here we give feedback to each other on the presentation, and discuss the pros and cons of the findings. I am currently the lead organizer of this group.
