NABA SEMESTER ABROAD PROGRAMS A Program designed for students who wish to have an international study abroad experience. Semester Abroad students will spend a term at the NABA campus in downtown Milan together with students from all over the world. Semester Abroad programs are a combination of theoretical and project based courses, taught by an experienced faculty composed of reputed designers and creative professionals.
To whom are offered NABA Semester Abroad Programs are offered to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Semester are targeted to students majoring in: Fashion Product Design Communication Architecture Marketing History Fashion Management Interior Design Graphic Design Business and Management Fine Arts Social Sciences or related fields. Semester Abroad courses are delivered in English Language.
Two different Academic Calendars NABA offers Semester Abroad programs in two different academic calendars, to suit the needs and requirements of Universities from all around the world. The INTEGRATED Academic Calendar follows the Academic cycle as in Italy and the main European countries. The Academic year goes from October to July The DEDICATED Academic Calendar follows the US Academic cycle. The Academic Year goes from September to May.
Integrated Academic Calendar In the Integrated Academic Calendar, Semester Abroad students join the regular classes and will study alongside with NABA degree students The Integrated Calendar is available for Undergraduate and Graduate students Integrated Academic Calendar dates: Fall Semester: September 29 th 2015 February 27 th 2016 September 28 th 2016 March 4 th 2017 Spring Semester: February 29 th 2016 July 5 th 2016 March 6 th 2016 July 12 th 2017
Dedicated Academic Calendar In the Dedicated Academic Calendar, students join classes taught by NABA faculty together with students from all over the world that are repeated in the two Semesters. The Dedicated Academic Calendar is available only for Undergraduate. Dedicated Academic Calendar dates: Fall Semester: September 2 nd 2015 December 18 th 2015 August 31 st 2016 December 16 th 2016 Spring Semester: January 13 th 2016 May 6 th 2016 January 18 th 2017 May 12 th 2017
European Credit System ECTS NABA academic system is based on ECTS credits: 1 ECTS Credit corresponds to 25 total learning hours, including self directed study. At the end of their Semester Abroad Program, students will receive a transcript with ECTS credits for all courses successfully completed. Upon receiving the transcript of records, home institutions will be able to recognize the entire educational path spent at NABA and ensure credits and grades to the student
Housing, Student Support and Italian Lifestyle NABA Housing Office supports international students to find accommodation in Milan. Students can choose among a wide choice of single and shared rooms in apartments close to the campus. Students will be involved in several social activities to know in depth the Milan creative world and Italian Art and Culture. Optional Learning activities available (at cost): Italian Language Course Italian Cooking Course Study visits to Italian and European cities

NABA SEMESTER ABROAD PROGRAMS Language Requirements Students should have achieved IELTS 5.0 or equivalent when entering the Semester Abroad Program. Students not complying with this language requirement can be accepted on condition that they follow a mandatory English Remedial course organized by NABA at the beginning of the Semester Abroad Program.
HOW TO APPLY Admission Requirements Completion of at least one year of university studies Evidence of English language proficiency Portfolio of projects related to the chosen Semester Abroad program (if applicable) Fees The tuition fee for one Semester is 6,990 International Partnerships Students coming from NABA Partner Universities and Laureate Network benefit of the special tuition fee and admission track
