Icebergs, Dough and Tape (2014) Miroslava Večeřová and Pavel Příkaský are testing the boundaries and possibilities of materials and their contact with it. They are exploring the moment of production itself. Generation of the work is inherent part of the whole process, building the stage, preparing the substance, making the ice. Final output is video, medium which connect intention of both authors. The key factor is continuity of narration in fluent sequences of the videos. The moving images constitutes visually appealing pictures. When the authors design unreal and not existing scenery, they are dealing with construction of new structures. Their comprehensive world of symbols is represented by cyclic movement, imitation and deformation of reality itself. In contrast to the videos a series of drawings is presented. They represent an attempt for a remedy. Remedy or a cure of internal malady which is being treated from the surface. Tape is adjoining the surface of the body and at the same time surface of the image in drawings. Author of the text is curator of Gallery KIV Eva Slunéčková)

Miroslava Vecerova and Pavel Prikasky cast away representations of an iceberg habitat in a benign body of moonlit pool water with a crystal clear surface. The land masses move around one another buffered by gentle off-screen forces that create just enough momentum to suggest a seismic shift... Rachel Pimm, Autoitalia, Recent Work by Artists, 2013
The work of Miroslava Večeřová (CZ, 1985) stems from a conceptually rooted investigation of perceptional qualities of a photographic medium. Recently, she has been working in the medium of video, which enables her to play with a movable and static image. Simultaneously, the moment of insecurity and distrust of the viewer in credibility of the pictorial representation is inherent in her works, often accompanied by author`s performative acts. Despite the serious issues the artist addresses, her works are also based on humour by means of which she unveils the veil of illusional representation of a static image. River Still from HD video 1 minute 5 seconds ( loop) 2013 https://vimeo.com/68226016
In River by Miroslava Večeřová, the spectator is asked to handle a delicate form of manipulation. After a short time of watching, the viewer is convinced that it is a still image which is being presented, which is, in the readiness of tedious conceptualism, contradicting. Unexpectedly in this moment and in a bare perceptible point, the viewer is quickly confronted with a physical gesture, literally revealing the curtain of static-ness. The artist is intervening with her own physicality into the double illusive scenery o nature and testing the permeability of a two dimensional visual surface.
