STEP 1: Lay your chair on the shipping box during assembly to protect it from scratching. Lay chair back (A) flat on floor with 8 pre-drilled holes facing up.apply glue to 8 holes with applicator. Swirl glue around in hole for best coverage. (Figure 1) Insert upper left hand spindle (D-2) into hole at a 5 o clock angle and insert upper right hand spindle (D-2) into hole at a 7 o clock angle. Predrilled holes on upper spindles (D-2) need to be in a up and down position for later seat attachment Note: Chair front is wider than chair back, spindles must be at these angles. (Figure 2) Insert 4 side spindles (D-1) into holes closest to base of chair at the 5 o clock and 7 o clock angles. (Figure 3). D-2 D-1 FIG. 1 Left FIG. 2 Right FIG. 3 STEP 2: Apply glue to all holes in chair front (B). (Figure 4) Place chair front (B) onto side spindles. Tap down on chair front (B) with rubber mallet. STEP 3: Turn chair onto back. Position seat (C) into place. (Figure 5) Rush or (Figure 5-1) Slat Place 4 1" screws into pre-drilled holes in upper side spindles to secure seat. (Upper side spindles may have to be rotated slightly to align with holes in bottom of seat). Hold seat in place while tightening screws. BOTH SLAT AND RUSH SEAT ARE ATTACHED THE SAME WAY. *Use caution with a cordless drill so as not to over tighten, causing the wood to split FIG. 5 Align pre-drilled holes in spindles FIG. 5-1 with pre-drilled hole in seat Align pre-drilled holes in spindles with pre-drilled hole in seat STEP 4: Apply glue to narrow end and chair front hole on arms (F-L, F-R). Place arms into holes in chair back (A) and onto chair front (B). (Figure 6) Place 2 2" screws into pre-drilled holes on inside edge of arms. Figure 7 MAKE SURE ARMS ARE PRESSED DOWN TIGHT ONTO CHAIR FRONT (B) BEFORE TIGHTENING SCREWS. Place 2 1" screws into pre-drilled holes in chair back (A) to secure arms. STEP 5: Apply a small amount of glue on each wooden button and place in pre-drilled holes on back of chair back and on inside of arms (where screws are used to secure arms). Wipe off any excess glue with damp cloth. STEP 6: Turn chair assembly on side. Apply glue to holes in the tops of rocker runners (E).Place 1 rocker runner onto chair front (B) first then chair back (A) making sure small pre-drilled holes face the inside of the chair. Use rubber mallet to adjust distance between legs, if needed. Repeat with other rocker runner. (Figure 10) Place 4 nails into pre-drilled holes in sides of runners and tap in with a hammer until flush with runner surface. (Figure 11) FIG. 9 FIG. 10 FIG. 11 STEP 7: Wait eight to ten hours for glue to dry completely before using your rocker. You will then be ready to use your rocker for many years to come. 5
