We are proud of this product and hope that you fi nd it a functional as well as a stylish addition to your truck. n illustration of the assembled rack mounted on a truck is shown below. You will be assembling the rack in stages, beginning with the op ails and following the step by step procedure outlined in this guide. he Versaack can be mounted to your truck two ways, hard mount or stake pocket mount. he stake pocket mount requires no drilling but fastens with ocket Loks sold separately. If your truck does not have stake pockets, hard mounting is your only option. We have labeled each item in the parts kit with a letter. hese letters will be noted throughout the assembly procedure to help you identify parts and hardware as you assemble the rack. ools equired: 1/2" wrench, 1/2" socket, ratchet and a soft rubber mallet. If you are hard mounting the rack, you will need a power drill, 3/8" drill bit and center punch. If you are using ocket Loks, you will need a phillips head screwdriver. ote: o properly achieve the recommended torque settings, we suggest you use a torque wrench with 1/2" socket. ev pg. 1

If you have found a shortage or are missing a part, please contact your dealer for replacements. he following is a list of parts and hardware to build the Versaack system. 3 Versaack Installation Instructions Step One reparation for ounting he fi rst step is to determine how to mount your new Versaack to your truck. Choosing the method of mounting the rack depends on the type of truck you have. If your truck is equipped with stake pockets you may use either mounting option. If your truck does not have stake pockets, hard mounting is your only option. Hard mounting means you will need to drill four (4) holes into your truck and bolt the rack to the vehicle. You will use a ack Foot Load late (J) at the four foot locations. We recommend locating the olded Feet (K) at the locations shown. ocket mounting requires O DILL- I. asterack recommends you use only ocket Lok stake pocket anchors. See your dealer for ocket Loks that fi t your truck, sold separately. When hard mounting, make sure the four (4) drilling locations are accessible from under the bed rail. You may need to remove tail lights or other items to gain access. J K ocket nchor Block nchor Bracket ocket ount (ocket Lok sold separately) Hard ount K S J W E Step hree ssemble op ails Orient the op ail pieces with the labels toward the front and facing outside. o assemble the two (2) op ails (), slide the Splice (E) into the rail ends with the holes. Butt the rails together so the bolts fi t into the square holes in the channel. Install 5/16" x 2-1/2" Carriage Bolts (), 5/16" Flat Washers () and 5/16" yloc Hex uts (). ighten the bolts to 18 ft. lbs. E 10 ft. Label toward outside front ssembled op ail ev pg. 3

4 Versaack Installation Instructions Step Four Install 5-3/4" Bolt racks lace the op ails on a large fl at surface with the channel opening up. Slip two (2) 5-3/4" Bolt racks () into each op ail with the bolt slot facing up. Slide two (2) 5/16" x 1-1/4" Hex Bolts () into each Bolt rack (). he Hex Bolts and Bolt racks will be adjusted to fi t into the olded Corner Brackets (F) at a later time. op ail Step Five olded Spacer Block () Locations olded Spacer Blocks () must be installed inside the Cross Channels (B) and Legs (D) as shown. B D Step Six Install olded Corner Bracket (F) to Cross Channel (B) B F ake sure that the olded Spacer Blocks are inside the Cross Channel and positioned at the top two (2) holes. ount the olded Corner Bracket (F) to the Cross Channel (B) with two (2) 5/16" x 2-1/2" Carriage Bolts (), 5/16" Flat Washers () and 5/16" yloc Hex uts (). epeat on both ends of the Cross Channels (B). Do not tighten the bolts yet. ev pg. 4

5 Versaack Installation Instructions Step Seven Install olded Corner Bracket (F) to Legs (D) B F ake sure that a olded Spacer Block is inside the Leg and lined up with the top hole. Insert the Leg (D) in the olded Corner Bracket (F) with the two (2) holes at the top and the channel opening outward. lign the olded Spacer Block (), the upper holes in the Leg (D) and the top holes in the Corner Bracket (F). Install a 5/16" x 2-1/2" Carriage Bolt (), 5/16" Flat Washer () and 5/16" yloc Hex ut (). epeat at the uppers hole location for each Leg (D) and leave loose at this time. Q D Q lign the lower of the top two (2) holes of the Leg (D) with the slotted holes in the olded Corner Bracket (F). Install a olded Lock Washer (Q) with the tab in the slotted hole. For wide truck beds, place the tab toward the inside of the bed; for narrow truck beds, place the tab toward the outside of the bed. Install a 5/16" x 1-1/4" Carriage Bolt (), 5/16" Flat Washer () and 5/16" yloc Hex ut (). ab Wide ruck Beds ab Q ab arrow ruck Beds epeat at all four (4) corners. Leave the bolts loose at this time allowing the Legs to swing in the slots. Step Eight ounting ack Ends Insert a olded Spacer Block () in the Leg (D). lace the Leg (D) into the olded Foot (K) installed in Step wo Install a 5/16" x 2-1/2" Carriage Bolt (), 5/16" Flat Washer () and 5/16" yloc Hex ut (). epeat with all four (4) Legs (D). Leave the bolts loose at this time. Check that the ack Ends are level. ighten the bolts. D ev pg. 5

6 Versaack Installation Instructions Step ine ounting op ails Hold the op ail ssembly () above the End Cross Channels (B). Slide the 5-3/4" Bolt racks () until the Hex Bolts () can easily drop into the holes in the top of the olded Corner Brackets (F). Secure with 5/16" Flat Washers () and 5/16" yloc Hex uts (). ake sure that there is a minimum of two (2) inches between the end of the op ail ssembly and the olded Corner Bracket (F). F Step en Install Support ube Slip the wist Lock Bolt rack with 3" Staked Bolt (H) into the op ail at the cab end. wist the Bolt rack to seat into the channel. Set the Bolt rack 4" from the end of the op ail. epeat this on both op ails. se olded Support ube ounts (V), 5/16" Flat Washers () and 5/16" yloc Hex uts () to mount the Support ube (C) to the wist Lock Bolts. Snug tighten the uts. C V (top) V (bottom) H Step Eleven Install ail End Caps (L) We recommend that you coat the inserted portion of the ail End Caps (L) with a small amount of silicone adhesive before installing them. se a soft rubber mallet to tap the ail End Caps (L) into the ends of the op ails (). 7 Versaack Installation Instructions Step welve Final djustments If necessary, loosen the bolts slightly to adjust the Versaack side to side and front to rear until the End Cross Channel is level. ighten the bolts at the slotted holes in all olded Corner Brackets (). hen tighten the top bolts in the olded Corner Brackets ().
