PRESENTATION In 2003, France s famous cabaret performer Juliette Dragon created the Collectif Surprise Party, in Paris based female troupe of modern entertainers : burlesque performers, contemporary dancers, musicians, acrobats, singers, actresses, pin-ups, choreographers, DJs, VJs, photographers and stage managers. As a producer, Juliette Dragon creates and stages glamorous and extravagant shows in Paris and internationally with her troupe, often featuring special guest star performers. She also produces the Paris Burlesque Festival. As an events artistic director, Juliette Dragon develops tailor-made visual entertainment concepts for private events with a wide range of renowned clientele. «The highlight of the Parisian scene» (ELLE) This New Burlesque review combines traditional music hall and extravagant retro- modern performances, alongside striking dance numbers accompanied by live musicians. The troupe includes twenty artists evolving within real tableaux vivants (living paintings) : pin-up burlesque performers, dancers, actors, singers, aerial acrobats, stilt-walkers and contortionists. They entertain with sequins, feathers and lashings of charm, summoning the seductive power of the eternal feminine. The scenario: when her brothel closes down, a madam (played by Dragon) decides to recycle her residents talents to... music hall! To a backdrop of retro films and wild rock n roll music, the Filles de Joie take you on an unforgettable trip, in a universe halfway between Mistinguett and... Tarantino! Cheeky and playful, they prance amongst the audience, dance the French Cancan on the bar and the Charleston on stage : the show is everywhere, presenting a delicious alternative to the old Moulin Rouge style and awakening the audiences spirits and pulses.
