Extended testing of drilling equipment Aker Wirth have established a test facility including Test Rig to carry out prior commissioning works on site, an extended testing of new original equipment scheduled for the entired project including testing of possible original interface equipment such as VFD, MCC and DCMS. Especially foreseen for the upcoming Upgrade Market HP mud pumps full load test, pressure and flow test Drawworks load test up to 500 t. hook load at 12 lines This ensures major time savings and reduces risk for delays in the offshore commissioning works An additional aspect is HSE 13.03.2010 FL Slide 25 2009 Aker Solutions part of Aker
Extended testing of drilling equipment Results /Gains: All interfaces are tested within the Aker Wirth control systems. All interfaces are tested with the original equipment, time saving during commissioning.(as the interfaces can be tested in full scale here in house, the commissioning time can be reduced by this extensive testing) The drawworks will be operated with rope and test load, so the VFD system can be setup and tuned over the full load range/capacity. Pre-setup of the ZPS and ADS systems can be performed, which results in further reduction of on site commissioning time. 13.03.2010 FL Slide 26 2009 Aker Solutions part of Aker
