Environment, Health and Safety Details BASIC INDUCTION Santos Ltd On-site Basic induction for City Office n/a Time Allowance: as required Requirement: The basic induction is to be carried out by the Santos person responsible for bringing the Contractor / Visitor onto a Santos city located premises. This induction may include advice on evacuation processes and utility locations. CATEGORY B/C CULTURAL HERITAGE FIELD INDUCTION Santos Ltd On-Site Site induction for field staff n/a Requirement: The Category B / C Cultural Heritage Field s are Santos specific requirement defined in the Santos EHS Management Standard Number 11 (EHSMS11) procedure and a condition under the approved CHMPs. Cultural heritage induction must have been undertaken within 36 months prior to Santos personnel and contractors undertaking any Santos activity in the field. Time Allowance: 1 1.1/2 hours Individual induction: Regular monthly sessions are scheduled in Brisbane, Fairiew and Roma or additional arrangements can be made via Course requirements: What is contained in cultural heritage induction? Santos cultural heritage induction provides information on: Process and system requirements to manage cultural heritage risks (assessments, site management and discoveries); Aboriginal history and cultural heritage of the area; The significance and importance of cultural heritage to Aboriginal stakeholders past, present and future; and The expectations of Santos personnel and contractors. LEVEL 1 INDUCTION Santos Ltd On-Line Santos General Met by Contractor Requirement: The Level 1 EHS training is a Santos specific requirement defined in the Santos EHS Management Standard Number 10 (EHSMS10) procedures. This induction must be completed prior to arriving at Santos sites. Time Allowance: 1 2 hours Individual induction: Accessible at any time on-line through the internet http://induction.santos.com Computer system requirements: 1. Web Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.5 2. Plug-in: Adobe Flash 7 or greater 3. Computer: 512 mb of RAM or greater After logging-in to the internet site, you must sign up as a new user and enter your personal details including an email address. An email address is required as a reminder will be sent to that email address prior to the induction expiring in 2 years for the person to undertake a refresher. There is also a Company listing, if you company does not appear on the list, contact the help desk number which will add your company name to the list, allowing you to register. Once registered you can commence the induction on-line. All induction records are maintained on-line and can be accessed by Santos administration/security to check current records. Group Bookings: Level 1 inductions for shutdown or large number groupings can be conducted by Protector Alsafe Pty Ltd in either Adelaide or Brisbane. The general requirement is for users to complete this induction individually on-line; however in the event that a group session is deemed necessary, all details of individuals must be entered into the on-line system. Alternative locations can be arranged (price on application). For group bookings the course cost, training provider and employee time costs must be met by the Contractor. LEVEL 2 INDUCTION Santos Ltd On-Line Santos Site Specific Met by Contractor Requirement: The Level 2 EHS is a Santos specific requirement defined in the Santos EHS Management Standard Number 10 (EHSMS10) procedures. This induction must be completed prior to arriving at Santos sites. Ensure the Level 1 is completed prior to commencing the Level 2. Time Allowance: 1 hour Individual : The Level 2 can be accessed at any time on-line through the internet http://induction.santos.com. If you have already registered as a user previously (such as when completing the Level 1 ) you can enter as a Registered User rather than signing up as a New User. Computer system requirements: As above Large Group Bookings: Level 2 inductions for shutdowns or large number groupings can be conducted by Protector Alsafe Pty Ltd in either Adelaide or Brisbane. Alternative locations can be arranged (POA). For group bookings the course cost, training provider and employee time costs must be met by the Contractor. LEVEL 3 WORKPLACE INDUCTION Contractor On-Site Contractor Workplace Met by Contractor Time Allowance: as required Requirement: The Level 3 workplace induction is required to be carried out by the Contractor. The content and time allowance will be determined by the Contractor. For audit purposes a Santos person may be required to attend (at no cost to the Contractor). LAND ACCESS INDUCTION Contractor On-line Santos Site Specific Met by Contractor Requirement: The Land Access is required when working in Eastern Queensland and entering Landholder properties. All employees and all Santos and Contractor employees must complete Land Access induction prior to entering a Landholder Property in accordance with the Land Access Code 2010. 4WD Driver Certificate of Competency Any Contractor employee whose duties require the driving of a registered motor vehicle on field roads outside the perimeter of a Santos field site must: Hold a current drivers licence, Be able to drive a manual vehicle, and Have successfully completed a Santos accredited 4WD driver training course leading to a certificate of competency. All drivers of registered motor vehicles leaving a Santos field village perimeter will be required to show their certificate of competency to the local security personnel, and in the event that the driver does not hold such a certificate the vehicle will be prevented from leaving. The certificate of competency may be obtained from any registered training centre that assesses to the Standard PMASUP236B - Operate Vehicles in the field from the Chemical, Hydrocarbons and Oil Refining Training Package. Heat Stress Training When working in the Cooper Basin or any similar environmentally conditioned area between September and March all Santos and Contractor employees must undergo a Heat Stress awareness program. The training is provided typically at the field location by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), and other Santos approved persons, and is expected to last approximately 1 hour. The RFDS costs associated with the awareness sessions will be met by Santos but all Contractor employee time costs must be met by the Contractor. Other Training Other EHS training may be required depending on the nature of work and services provided. All Contractors must ensure that their employees have undertaken relevant training including certificates of competency, licenses, etc to meet legislation, regulations, codes of practices, Australian Standards and any further Santos requirements (e.g. Permit to Work or Wellsite Permit to Work). It is the Contractors responsibility to ensure that their personnel possess the required competencies etc. The Santos Contract Representative can provide details of specific requirements on request.
