Outlook Web Access (OWA) Eliminating Mailbox Over Quota Is your mailbox full? Each PPSD mailbox holds up to 50 megabytes of material. That is an enormous amount of space. If you reach 50 megabytes of material your account will be over quota. When your mailbox is over quota, you are unable to receive email. An email account is used to communicate. It is not a file store. It is the account user s responsibility to keep their mailbox clean. If an email is returned to the systems administrator due to mailbox over quota, the Email Administrator will inform the user s supervisor to have them clean out their mailbox. (It is called File Maintenance) To eliminate reaching mailbox over quota, please delete unnecessary messages in your Inbox, Sent, and Deleted Items Folders. How to clean out an email folder: DELETING FILES To delete email messages in Outlook Web Access (OWA), Click on a file; then Click on X. To permanently delete a file, Right Click on the Deleted Items folder and select Empty Deleted Items
