Specializing in completion assembly makeup and testing for more than 30 years, Baker Hughes has expanded its completion assembly services into virtually all of the major oil and gas areas around the world. Onshore Preparation Services Subsea wellhead preparation services To reduce costs and production downtime on the critical path, Baker Hughes offers offline subsea wellhead preparation services worldwide. By preparing subsea wellhead-casing hanger assembly systems offline in conjunction with cementing plugs, operators can realize rig time savings of at least eight hours, as well as reduced risk of injury. Baker Hughes achieves this by reconfiguring the subsea wellhead and casing hanger running tools to include a cementing equalizing sub and cement plug technology. By doing so, running and cementing procedures are carried out in a single trip, making the operation safer and more efficient. Specialized Services Baker Hughes is capable of undertaking unique and specialized projects, which are demonstrated through experience, technology, flexibility of equipment, and safety excellence. An example of one of these unique projects is shown nearby, where a running tool for a 46-in. circulating cap is being installed this was the first of its type undertaken by Baker Hughes. The project proved to be complex and challenging, underlining our commitment to successfully meeting customers exacting needs. Baker Hughes also provides a diverse range of services, including the ability to perform offset torquing services on diverse and specialized equipment such as dual completion components. Baker Hughes offers comprehensive flow iron refurbishment and recertification services in accordance with the applicable standards (API 6A, SI 913 and PED). At our Aberdeen, Scotland, location, the company provides rental packages and maintains a substantial stock of 2-in. 1502 and 3-in. 1502 H2S or standard equipment for that purpose. In addition, Baker Hughes provides flow iron surveys on temporary pipework, which are fitted on offshore or onshore installations. These services can be carried out at any one of our purpose-built facilities located throughout the world or wherever our clients desire. Regardless of whether we are working in our facility or at our client s site, Baker Hughes ensures torque equipment accuracy by using our field-proven, lightweight mobile torque units, coupled with the Salvo system. 5
Services on the Move Around the World Mobile services offer total flexibility For many years, Baker Hughes primarily performed tubing, casing and drillpipe torquing onshore at its operations bases. Today, the mobile services teams deliver a wide range of services around the world, including torquing and testing of completion components, torquing couplings, performing stack-up tests, and providing drillpipe break-in services. To achieve this, Baker Hughes uses a special mobile bucking system. The easy-to-use system is completely versatile, and can be set up practically anywhere. Because it is mechanized and only requires a two-man crew, services are less labor-intensive and more cost-effective. By using top loading machines and providing our own power packs and torque-turn systems, Baker Hughes can complete work in hours that would take other companies days to perform. Highly Versatile Operations Testing Our facilities and services are available 24 hours daily, and are maintained by fully trained technical and support staff. Baker Hughes facilities offer substantial and diverse operational capabilities. n n Facility example: The covered workshop offers internal completion subassembly and component storage equipped with overhead cranes. The facility holds a pressure test bay and torque stations in addition to basket loading and unloading capabilities. Completion assembly: All service processes from component assembly to final dispatch are conducted and recorded utilizing Completions Manager* software for subassembly reports. Baskets are readily available for transportation to the work site.
