Dear Sectional Champion, Congratulations on winning your District and Sectional 8-10 Baseball Tournaments and welcome to the 2016 Pennsylvania Little League 8-10 Baseball State Championship Double Elimination Tournament. Bradford Regional Little League salutes you on your accomplishment and looks forward to hosting you this week. The tournament will begin on Tuesday July 26 th, 2016 and run through Sunday July 31 st. Check in and equipment check for teams will be held Monday July 25 th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kessel Athletic Complex at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Players do not need to be present for check in, but please have all team equipment (including bats) available for inspection. There will be a mandatory meeting with tournament officials at 3:30 p.m. for all managers and coaches to discuss tournament procedures, practice and batting cage scheduling, and to answer any questions. The Bradford Regional Little League will be hosting a Pre-Tournament Banquet on Monday evening July 25 th at 6 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford s Banquet Room. This is mandatory for all players, managers and coaches. Guests are also invited to attend at a cost of $12.00 for adults and $8.00 for children 12 and under. Teams will be recognized at this time and will be presented with their state tournament pins. Please fill out and return the attached Banquet order form as soon as possible. Please email me to let me know that you won your sectional tournament. Please include a team photo with your sectional Championship banner along with your player s names and numbers for the tournament program as well as manager (please include cell phone number), coaches, league president and district administrator s names. If you are unable to email me please call me at the above numbers with this information. Players will be fed after all of their games. Housing for the teams will not be available. Attached is a listing of area hotels for your convenience. Also attached is a schedule of events, t-shirt pre-order form, and a map of the Bradford area showing directions to our complex. Concessions provide revenues to help host leagues cover the costs of putting on tournaments. In order to support the host leagues, District 10 does not permit teams or fans to bring food and beverages into the ball field complex with the exception of water and/or sport drinks for team personnel for their games. The Bradford Regional LL concession stand carries a variety of hot food, snacks and beverages at very reasonable prices. Please pass this information on to friends and families of players who may be attending tournament games. Immediately Following the Sectional Tournament Win Once your team has won the Sectional Tournament, please contact Barry Bacha with the following information: Team Photo with your sectional championship banner Completed Team Registration Form (page 8) Completed Background Checks for Manager and Coaches Please complete the following forms and submit to Barry Bacha as soon as possible: Banquet Registration Form (page 9) T-Shirt Order Form (page 11) Team Arrivals Managers and coaches should arrive on Monday July 25 th from 1 3:30 p.m. for check-in and equipment check at the Kessel Athletics Complex at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Players do not have to be present for check-in and equipment check. A mandatory Managers and Coaches meeting will take place at 3:30 p.m. followed by a Banquet at 6 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford s Banquet Room. All players will be recognized and presented their state tournament pins. Each team will be assigned a host for the tournament to answer any logistical questions you may have during your stay. 3

Radio Broadcasting Any radio station wishing to broadcast during the tournament must contact Bradford Regional Little League President Barry Bacha at (814) 368-8062 or (814) 366-7740 to make arrangements. Each station is responsible for hookups. A fee of $75 per game or $200 for the whole tournament must be paid to the Bradford Regional Little League prior to the start of the tournament. ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY District 10 promotes good sportsmanship at all times and at all levels of play. Throughout this tournament any conduct that is meant to demean or incite opposing teams, spectators or officials will not be tolerated. All verbal comments must be positive and encouraging. Any offenders will, if spectators, be removed from the complex for the remainder of the tournament and if coaches or players be ejected from that game and per Little League tournament rules will not be permitted to participate in the next scheduled game. Tournament Rules and Procedure Highlights The will be a double elimination tournament. Playing rules will be per Little League 8-10 Baseball Tournament Rules. All rules will be strictly enforced by the Tournament Staff and Umpires. All teams will submit their eligibility affidavits to the Tournament Director prior to the start of the tournament. These affidavits must be verified (and signed) immediately following each game and will be returned to each team at the end of the tournament. The tournament director and staff reserve the right to change game dates and starting times due to inclement weather. The home team for each game will be determined by the toss of a coin. The home team for each game will have 15 minutes of fielding practice 60 minutes prior to the start time of the game. The visiting team for each game will have 15 minutes of fielding 45 minutes prior to the start time of the games. These times may be shortened in order to stay with the scheduled game times. The team manager is responsible for uniforms and equipment and all players must be in uniform with the Little League approved patch. Players, managers, and coaches that become involved in any misconduct, on or off the field, or at their lodging, may be dismissed from the tournament. The activity and person will be reported to Little League Headquarters Tournament committee, the parent league District Administrator, and the League President. Only Managers, Coaches, and Players listed on the official tournament eligibility affidavit are permitted in the dugout or playing field. Under no circumstances will coaching (or assistance to coaches) be permitted from anyone outside of the dugout area during games. Game balls will be supplied by the Host District. Both teams will line up as directed by the tournament director when introduced and remain there for the National Anthem and Little League Pledge. Both teams will meet at the home plate area immediately at the conclusion of the game and shake hands. At the conclusion of the tournament, the State Winning Team will be awarded the Pennsylvania Championship Flag. 5

Bradford Area Lodging Accommodations The Bradford Regional Little League has reserved several blocks of rooms at hotels in our area. These hotels have been gracious enough to keep these rooms open to as close to the start of the tournament as possible, as well as giving reduced rates for little league teams, family, and fans. These area hotels are also flexible concerning the length of each teams stay. The hotel reservations and fees are the responsibility of the individual teams.
