Bayside State Prison Visit Procedures and Schedule 1. A maximum of 4 adults are permitted to visit. An adult visitor must accompany children. The definition of relative, as it relates to visiting children, is limited to mother, father, husband, wife, child, brother or sister of the child. Children must be under the control of the adult accompanying them at all times. Children are not permitted to play/run in the Front house or the Visit Hall. Adult visitors with children that cannot be made to comply with the rules of the Visit Hall will be required to depart. This rule ensures that ALL visitors are afforded an equal opportunity to visit in a pleasant environment. Children under court appointed care of an individual other than a relative, as stated above, may be allowed to enter the facility to visit providing proof of custody has been noted on the inmates Visit Card. This can be accomplished by the adult having custody bringing the Court Order with them and presenting it to the Registration Officer for notation on the Visit Card. 2. Visitors must present photo identification. Acceptable forms of photo identification include: A. A current photo driver's license B. A current photo Welfare/Medicaid card C. An employment photo ID D. A current passport 3. As of February 9, 2014, all NJ DOC facilities will no longer be accepting money orders. All money orders must be sent to JPay. Money orders will be processed within approximately two business days from the date the money order was received. For all future money order deposits, please follow these steps: Print and complete a JPay deposit form from www.jpay.com/moneyorder. 4. In accordance with NJAC 10A:18 6.14, all visitors, their belongings, and their vehicles are subject to searches while on the premises. ANCORA VISIT PROCEDURE CHANGE- EFFECTIVE 4/4/16 Bayside State Prison Ancora visits occur Saturday and Sunday only. Registration is from 7:30am 10am and visits occur from 8am 2pm. As of April 4, 2016, visitors will no longer be permitted to drive their vehicles onto the grounds of Ancora and park in the Ancora parking lot area. All Bayside State Prison Visitors for Ancora will stay to the right at the Main Gate and proceed to the Visitor Center Parking area. Visitors will be processed in the Visitor s Center and be given a temporary photo I.D. to wear during their visit. Each visitor must have a valid driver s license or photo I.D. with them when they arrive to be processed. Acceptable photo I.D.s include: A current photo Welfare / Medicaid card, An employment photo ID or current passport. Bayside State Prison allows minors to visit. If the minor requires a car seat for transport, there will be a 12 passenger transport van equipped with 6 car seats. One adult must ride in the van with the child and any additional adults may take a regular van. All visitors including any minors will be transported from the Visitors Center to Spruce Hall receiving area Frisk Shack. When the visit is over, all visitors will be picked up and dropped off at the Visitors Center in the same manner they were initially brought over.
