6 YOUR TUTORS Georgi Kirilov FCCA, CF Georgi is a fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a Corporate Finance (CF) qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is also part of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the US business valuation institution. Georgi has significant professional experience in accounting, consulting and corporate finance areas, and he has worked for many years in London and Geneva, prior to returning to Bulgaria at the end of 2005, where he spent three years in the Financial Advisory Services of Deloitte Bulgaria leading due diligence, valuation, and buy and sell side advisory engagements for major international and Bulgarian clients such as EON, KBC Bank, Magyar Telecom, BTC, BBB Group, Business Park Sofia, OCK, Gorubso Madan etc. Georgi is teaching the following courses Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Finance for Non-Finance Professionals, Performance Management, Budgeting and Excel. Georgi has extensive international teaching experience in the UK, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Romania and Greece. Iliya holds a Magister Juris degree from Oxford University where he specialized in corporate finance, International Financial and European law. He also holds Legal English diploma from the University of California San Diego, a Master s degree in law with honors from Sofia University and a certificate in US Business law. Iliya is a full-time attorney-at-law admitted for practice to the Bulgarian Bar. Prior to his return to Bulgarian in 2007, he has worked in Massachusetts and London. From 2007 until April 2009, Iliya has worked with the legal department of Ernst & Young. At present, he is part of the Dinova & Rusev Law office. He has participated in most of the major finance and energy projects that have taken place in Bulgaria for the past three years. Iliya is working mainly in the fields of Corporate, Financial and Energy law. He is one of the few lawyers in Bulgaria, specializing in climate change and carbon trading. She gained her ACA qualification in the audit and tax departments of Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC), and, following some years at home looking after her children, gained her CTA qualification in the corporate tax department of Ernst & Young. In 2010 she completed her ACA studies in the ICAEW in Jersey, Channel Islands. Claire has worked as an Associate for BDO s office in Jersey. From 2008 to 2011 she has been on the position of Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP with a high level of responsibility. She maintained a successful balance of technical studies with busy season workload and also gained experience in coaching. In September 2011 she transferred to the PricewaterhouseCoopers Service Delivery Centre in Katowice, Poland. Since January 2013 Claire has been cooperating with BPP Poland. As a qualified Chartered Accountant with history in audit practice, mainly in financial services, she has the knowledge and practical experience of a competent lecturer. He has over nineteen years of professional accounting experience gained in Central and Eastern Europe and New Zealand. Stan has worked for New Zealand Treasury, the New Zealand Railways Corporation in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting, Deloitte and KPMG. He possesses strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge coupled with excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
