CONFIGURATION OF SATO LAN and WiFi INTERFACES SATO has many interfaces from Parallel to serial, USB, Lan and Wifi. In this document we inform you about the configuration of the SATO LAN & Wifi Interfaces. Chapter 1 : The Lan Interface Chapter 2 : The Wireless Lan Interface Chapter 3 : Admin Manger for Wifi and Lan TCP Setup Chapter 4 : Printer Satus/configuring TCPIP setting via internet Explorer Chapter 1: The Lan Interface The latest Lan Card is version 1.2.0. You can receive the test page after putting DSW3 ON. The DipSitches mean: 1. Not Used 2. Reset 3. Factory Settings 4. Diagnostics If you have problems or forgot the IP setting or Mac Address you can always reset the Lan card by putting DSW2 ON. Or you can check the factory settings and diagnostic settings by putting DSW3 or DSW4 on ON. See example below: Switch off printer, put DSW 3 ON and Switch on printer after max 20 seconds and the diagnostic label will print. The Chapter 3 will explain how to install this useful tool. Or you can administrate the TCP/IP settings via the Internet Exporer by browsing to the IP address of the printer => see chapter 4 for a demo. Chapter 2 : The Wireless Lan Interface -Set up the Wireless Printer on the Network -Put it on Infrastructure Mode: (need access point) -Enable Wireless Card on your PC -Once connected check for available networks -Select your Infrastructure Network name and connect to it In the example below, the name of the access point is default. -Configure Dip Switch on the Printer Wireless Card to work on Infrastructure Mode -DSW-6 should be on (see picture below) 2/20

E. Check YES to Start Admin Manager F. Configure the Wireless Card with Admin Manager Admin Manager is launched By default the Wireless card is set to receive an IP address from a DHCP Server. If you do not have DHCP server on your network you will see the SATO PRINTER WL showing 0.0.0.0 as an IP address. By double clicking on the SATO PRINTER WL you will be able to change the following settings: - The General Settings - The TCP IP settings - The Printer Port Settings 8/20

The TCP/IP Tab allows you to configure the TCP/IP settings of the printer. The Printer Port Tab allows you to change the printer port settings G. Configure a Port for the Printer Once your printer is configured on the network you can launch the ST-Print2003 on the Silex Utility CD or Folder in order to configure a printer Port for this printer. 10/20
Follow the steps described below to configure a Printer Port. Click on the ST-Print2003 Icon to install the application. In addition, you have also the choice of using the standard TCP/IP Port for Windows or Label Gallery LAN SATO Port for Port installation. 11/20
