Part no: CB-1 The CAN Bus interface is designed to provide a vehicle speed signal for vehicles using a CAN Bus system. It is programmed to automatically detect the vehicle type and it will give a frequency output of approximately 1Hz per mph. The CB-1 features built-in diagnostic LEDs to indicate CAN Bus status and speed pulse output to aid the installation process. After power-up: Stage 2: Green LED on while the CB-1 listens for CAN Bus data Stage 3: Red LED indicates CAN has been detected. Part no: CB-6 The CAN Bus interface is designed to provide a vehicle speed signal for vehicles using a CAN Bus system. It is programmed to automatically detect the vehicle type and it will give a frequency output of approximately 1Hz per mph. The CB-6 CAN Interface is versatile multi output device for obtaining vehicle speed pulse, engine speed, illumination*, reverse gear*, handbrake* and ignition signals from most CAN Bus equipped vehicles. NOTE: The ignition output on the CB-6 is inverse, it is at 12v when the ignition is off and 0v when the ignition is This is so that the coil of a relay can be connected from a constant 12v supply on the vehicle to the output on the CAN interface and the relay will be energized when the output is low. Any relay with a coil impedance of 600hms or greater will work. *Dependant on vehicle configuration The CB-6 features built-in diagnostic LEDs to indicate CAN Bus status and speed pulse output to aid the installation process. After power-up: Stage 2: Green LED on while the CB-6 listens for CAN Bus data Stage 3: Red LED indicates CAN has been detected. CB-6 now detecting vehicle type Please note: If LEDs do not follow the above sequence it is still advisable to drive the vehicle to see if a speed pulse signal is still actually being produced by the CB-6. It is possible that some vehicles will perform in a different manner. (sometimes marked as CAN+ and CAN- respectively). Part no: CB7 SCP BUS INTERFACE The CB7 is designed to read vehicle speed data from Ford vehicles equipped with SCP Bus. The Bus is sometimes referred to as J1850 PWM. It therfore will work on virtually all Ford vehicles that have the 16-pin OBD-II connector. It also covers early versions of the Jaguar S-type (1999-2001). The SCP Bus uses two wires for data transmission, one is called SCP+ and the other SCP-. All connections should be made with an insulated solder joint. Do not cut the SCP Bus wires. Note: It is important that the CB7 is powered from an ignition controlled supply.
