WELCOME to Atkore s Employee Self Service Site! Atkore is proud to announce an enhanced payroll, benefits and human resources system, supported by an external provider, ADP. This system will provide you with greater access and control in managing your personal data, benefit information and payroll data all from one website. Employees should access the self service site (ESS) through www.myatkorehr.com. Using your computer s web browser, type the web address (www.myatkorehr.com), you will reach an Atkore landing page that provides brief information and a link to an ADP log-in page. Once you log into the ADP access page, you will see an Atkore-branded site with access to your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that only you can access your personal information. To assist us in meeting that commitment, you must register as a new user on the ADP log-in page before using the Employee Self Services (see Page 2 for registration instructions). This will require you to have an email account (if you do not have an existing email account, please refer to instructions for establishing an account on Page 5). During registration, you will be assigned a user ID and you will create a unique password. Then you ll be ready to log on and start using the payroll, benefit and HR services to: View and change personal information, including address, phone numbers and emergency contact information View and print your pay statements and W-2 year-end statements View and change direct deposit information Update your Federal and State tax information Access your vacation balances via your paystub or through etime Access your benefit elections (available June 7) IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER May 9 May 31 May 16 May 23 May 19 June 2 June 7 Mandatory Time and Labor Management (Enterprise etime) training for all employees (excludes manufacturing employees who punch in/out using timeclocks) Manufacturing employees across the country begin to use timeclocks for the enhanced ADP system; look for local site information All employees can access MyAtkoreHR.com for etime and payroll-related information; employees should log into etime to review their information for accuracy Employees begin to receive their first paycheck as part of the centralized ADP system (actual timing based upon scheduled pay periods) All employees can access MyAtkoreHR.com for benefit-related information; the site is fully functional Computer Kiosks As a reminder, every facility has established kiosk stations with computers to enable employees to access the Employee Self Service Site while at work. The computers will allow employees to reach www.myatkorehr.com and reach the ADP Employee Self Service Site. Page 1 of 10
To Register for the Employee Self-Service Site: 1. Go to 2. Click on the link for the ADP Employee Self Service Site: www.myatkorehr.com 3. Click First Time Users Register Here. 4. Click Register Now 5. Enter your ADP Self Service Registration Pass Code MyAtkore-ESS then click Next Page 2 of 10
6. Enter your name, the last four digits of your Social Security number, and the month and date of your birth. Then click Next. 7. If this screen appears, please contact the Atkore Employee Service Center at: 1-877-964-4333 If this screen does not appear, proceed to the next step. 8. Enter your e-mail address and click Next. (You must have an email address to use the Employee Self Service Site. Your phone number is optional). If you do not have email, refer to Page 5 of this guide. Page 3 of 10
9. Enter your place of birth. Select your security questions and answers and then click Next. Important: The security questions and answers are used if you forget your logon credentials so be sure to choose information that you can remember. 10. Your user ID is displayed. Create your password and click Submit. Important: Make a note of your user ID and password for future use. Write down your user ID and self-created password below: User ID: Password: You should make note of your answers and keep them in a safe place. CONGRATULATIONS! You have completed your online registration. You will receive an e-mail confirming your enrollment. You can now log on and begin using the Employee Self Service Site! Page 4 of 10
Email Accounts In order to access the Employee Self-Service Site, all users will need to register an email address (whether it is a business or personal email address). There are a number of sites that provide free and easy e-mail accounts * that take only a few minutes to set up: Gmail, provided by Google- www.google.com Hotmail, provided by Microsoft- www.hotmail.com Yahoo mail, provided by Yahoo- www.yahoo.com If you need to create an email account, please follow the instructions below in order to set up your free e-mail account. For example, below are instructions to set-up a free account with Gmail. (The other two options above are just as easy, depending upon your preference.) 1. When registering for a Gmail account, go to www.google.com and click on the Gmail link. 2. Click on the link that states New to Gmail? It s free and easy. Create an account 3. You will then create a username that will serve as your e-mail address. 4. After you have chosen your username the site will verify that it is not already in use. If it is in use, you will need to choose another username. 5. Once your username and account have been established, you are free to start using your new e- mail account to send and receive e-mails. Navigating through the ESS Site There are five sections available to you on the Employee Self Service Site, as described below. 1. Home Page This welcome page provides general updates for all Atkore employees, specific messages related to you and links to frequently used health and welfare providers. 2. Time & Attendance This section provides access to Enterprise etime the system that enables you to enter hours worked and any exception time (such as vacation, sick, personal, etc.). It also enables managers and supervisors to approve timecards for employees. 3. Pay & Taxes This section provides tools that you can use to manage your finances, including viewing paychecks, using calculators, and accessing direct deposit information. Page 6 of 10
4. Personal Information You now have control to provide up-to-date information for emergency contacts, home address and contact phone numbers at any time. 5. Benefits Currently, website links and phone numbers for many benefit providers are listed here. After June 7, this page will contain your specific plan information. Employee ID Every Atkore employee has an assigned Employee ID number that will need to be provided when calling the Atkore Employee Service Center. You can locate your Employee ID on the Personal Information tab in the General section, as shown below: Page 7 of 10
Paycheck Format As part of the enhanced payroll system, Atkore will now have one consistent look to paychecks and statements. Your pay, deductions and taxes are not impacted as part of this visual change. Please note the type and location of information that will be available as part of this design: Page 8 of 10
Paperless Pay Statements Effective June 1, 2011, all U.S. employees who receive their pay via direct deposit will automatically transition to a paperless way of viewing your paystub via an online tool. We will no longer be delivering paper paystubs, helping to reduce company costs and move toward a more environmentally-friendly practice. All employees will be able to navigate to the Pay & Taxes tab of Employee Self Service site to view pay statements as well as have the ability to print a copy of it as needed, as shown below: Please note: If you currently receive a live paycheck, this manner of payment will continue. However, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for direct deposit. It's fast, free and reliable. With direct deposit, your paycheck is safely deposited into your bank account and available to you on the payment date - even if you're not at work on payday. Complete the Direct Deposit form on the Pay & Taxes tab to begin your direct deposit pay. Page 9 of 10
Questions 1. When do I start to use Employee Self Service Site? You should register on the Employee Self Service Site beginning May 19, 2011. 2. Who do I contact if I am experiencing problems using the Employee Self Service Site? If you have questions or difficulties with the ESS, you should contact the Atkore Employee Service Center first at 1-877-964-4333 8 a.m. 6 p.m. Central Time. You also can email your questions or problems to the center at atkore_servicecenter@adp.com. Representatives are available to assist callers in a variety of languages. Please make sure to have your Employee ID available when contacting the Atkore Employee Service Center. 3. Why don t I see my pay information on the website? Pay information will be available after your first pay period on the enhanced system in June 2011. 4. Will I be able to view and print all pay stubs prior to June 2? No, you will only be able to view and print pay stubs after June 2. 5. Will I be able to view and print my 2011 W2 on Employee Self Service? Yes, you can print 2011 W2 statement (in January 2012). You will still receive a copy via U.S. Mail to your address in the Employee Self Service Site. 6. Who do I contact with questions regarding my paystub or benefits? You should contact the Atkore Employee Service Center at -1-877-964-4333. 7. Who do I contact if the timeclock is not working? If you experience problems with the timeclock, please contact your direct supervisor first. 8. The local computer kiosk station is not working properly. Who do I contact? If you experience problems using the computer kiosk, please contact your direct supervisor who will contact the Atkore Center of Excellence Helpdesk at 708-915-1600. 9. I am a manager/supervisor who needs to approve timecards for employees. However, I am experiencing problems accessing etime. Who do I call with questions? In order for etime to work properly, it requires the correct software version of Java installed on your computer (Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v.1.4.2_19 and Java 6 update 7). You can check to confirm that you have this version on your computer by: 1. Go to Control Panel a. Left click the Start Button (bottom left hand corner of desktop) b. Place cursor over Settings and click on Control Panel 2. Add/Remove Programs icon a. Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon b. In the list, you should see the java versions mentioned above. 3. If you do not have the correct Java, contact the Atkore COE Helpdesk at 708 915-1600. 10. The local computer kiosk station is not working properly. Who do I contact? If you experience problems using the computer kiosk, please contact your direct supervisor who will contact the Atkore COE Helpdesk and enter a service ticket. Page 10 of 10
