General Rules It is compulsory for all participants and non participants to carry their college ID cards on all the days. Participants must maintain decorum inside the campus. Instances of misbehavior will be dealt with severely. Participants are requested to check their event timings and venue well in advance. Registration is based on first come first serve. Participants should reports at least half an hour before the event starts. Judges decision will be final and binding. All props, etc. used by the colleges must be cleared immediately from the stage after the performance and from the college premises by the end of the day. Obscenity, vulgarity and wardrobe malfunction of any sort will lead to automatic disqualification. Drinking and smoking is prohibited inside the campus. Do not use fire, flammable substance as props. A team which fails to perform during its allotted slot will not be given second chances.

DAY 1 DEBATE RULES Number of Participants in a team: 4 + 4 Topic will be given at the time of registration, for and against teams will be decided depending on the lots picked during registration Only 2 participants from each college. Time Limit: 5 minutes per speaker Rebuttal time will given at the end of each topic No obscene language will be tolerated. Participants are requested to pre register by sending a mail to the given mail id along with their name, name of institution. Id proof should be produced at the time of final registration before the event. RULES & REGULATIONS: Oil clay will be provided by the host college. Theme or topic will be given on the spot. Model should depict the theme or topic. Duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. No of participants - Group of two. Each model has to be accompanied with a short write up about the interpretation of the theme. Change in any rule will be highlighted or communicated before the start of event. The decision of the judges will be final. QUIZZARDS Venue and Time: Prelims: Annex Building at 10 am Semis: Room No. 18 at 1 pm Finals: Auditorium on 23 rd February at 10 am Teams of two or less members per team. Register online by sending a mail (including details of Name, college and Telephone Number) to quizzards2012@gmail.com. The event consists of two quizzes: Roulette the general quiz TraFoodLE The Travel, Food, Lifestyle and Entertainment Quiz Each Quiz consists of three rounds: Prelims Semis Finals Semis of Each quiz will comprise of 12 teams of which 5 will qualify for finals. NOTE: Evaluation for each quiz is different. There is no limit to the number of participants for the Prelims! Come one! Come All!

The participants will be provided with papers, colors and basic tools. They need to draw a visual story to demonstrate their opinion/thinking and later explain it to audience. Story should depict the theme or topic. Time Limit 2 hours 30 minutes. No of participants - Group of two. Change in any rule will be highlighted or communicated before the start of event. The decision of the judges will be final. EXPRESS THEATRE (SKIT) Script Co ordination Dialogue delivery Presentation

Registration opens from 18 th Feb 2012 onwards. Participants should confirm registration 30 minutes prior to event. No explicit or obscene content is allowed. Participants are encouraged to convey a social message. Participants should bring their respective college id cards. AD MAD RULES Participants will have to produce a radio jingle and TV commercial advertisement for a product in a proper way which is quite appealing to audience. Topic will be given at the time of registration along with a kit. Number of Participants in a team: 5-8 members Time allowed to present your prepared ad will be 4minutes (includes radio jingle and TV commercial). The ad prepared by the contestant must not contain any obscene words/any subject that hurts the feelings of a culture/language/religion/region. Judging is done on the basis of team s originality, humor and stage presence and usage of props given. Participants will have to make use of the material given in the kit. Use of any other material would to the team to be disqualified. Negative marking for any disobedience of rules. The decision of the judge is final and abiding. PHENOMENAL FEET (GROUP DANCE): Choreography Synchronization Floor craft Overall stage performance Energy Costume Expression Stage coverage Innovation and presentation No of participants: 8-14 on stage Time allotted: 8+1 minutes Registration opens from 18 th Feb, 2012 onwards. Use of props is allowed. Exceeding time limit will result to negative marking of the group.

Participants should confirm registration 30 minutes prior to event. Participants should bring their own source of music of mp3 format. Participants should bring their respective college ID cards. DAY 2 MERGE IT ON Venue: Inner Courtyard This event has two parts as stated below: Part I - Each of the two members of the team will be given an A3 size sheet to paint on the same given theme. Interaction is not permitted and Violation in any form leads to DISQUALIFICATION of the involved team from the event. Part II - Each team will be given an A4 sheet which they have to place in between/middle of the two A3 sheets and make a single painting which will be judged. Theme will be given on the spot. No of participants: Group of two. Time Limit 2 hours 30 minutes. Each painting has to be accompanied with a short write up about the interpretation of the painting. Change in any rule will be highlighted or communicated before the start of event. The decision of the judges will be final. WORDATHON

Judgment will be based on Idea Mapping, Writing Skills and Expression. After every 5 clues a part of the object shall be unveiled to you. Specific rules will be given at the time of the event.

Participants should confirm registration 30 minutes prior to event. Participants should bring their respective college id cards. Every college is advised to bring own props and music in mp3 format. Props such as cigars, wine bottles etc are banned.

THE VOCAL ACCENT (SOLO SONG): Vocal ranges Rhythm Stage presence Voice modulation Overall performance Time allotted: 4+1 minutes Karaoke is not allowed. Registration opens from 18 th Feb, 2012 onwards. Maximum of one instrument is allowed. Exceeding time limit will result to negative marking of the group. THE PULSE PATTERN (GROUP SINGING): Voice modulation and Vocal ranges Rhythm Stage presence Overall performance Synchronization

Time allotted: 4+1 minutes No of participants : 5-8 Karaoke is not allowed. Registration opens from 18 th Feb 2012 onwards. Maximum of two instruments is allowed. Exceeding time limit will result to negative marking of the group. Participants should confirm registration 30 minutes prior to event. Participants should bring their respective college id cards. DAY 3 SHIPWRECK Rules : Individual event in which chits will be provided. Each chit carries a name of celebrity or renowned personality. The participant must act as the personality mentioned to justify their survival on the ship. They may talk or act out their character s importance to save them. Optimum usage Aesthetics Communication aspect. Rules & Regulations: Theme will be given on the spot. The activity is based on making a theme based 3D costume, bag, shoe, Jewellery design. The participants are free to choose a single object to work upon. The participants will be provided with papers, wires, some decorative materials and basic tools. Each design has to be accompanied with a short write up about the interpretation of the theme Model should depict the theme or topic. Judges would decide the prize winners based on the 3D models matching the theme. Duration 2 hours 30 minutes. No of participants Group of two. Change in any rule will be highlighted or communicated before the start of event. The decision of the judges will be final. THE TRASH JAM (JUNK MUSIC): Innovation and presentation Selection of junks Beats Rhythm Stage presence Overall performance Synchronization Sound clarity Time allotted: 3+1 minutes No vocals are allowed.

No of participants : 3-6 Registration opens from 18 th Feb 2012 onwards. Exceeding time limit will result to negative marking of the group. Participants should confirm registration 30 minutes prior to event. Participants should bring their respective college id cards. Minimum 3 types of different junk materials should be used. Musical instruments are not allowed. Use of electronic gadgets prohibited.
