Instructions The Stitch N Turn Dolls #12544 embroidery collection showcases the ability to make different dolls utilizing the same design files. There are two different doll faces with different hairlines to choose from. The remaining files are the same; however, different thread colors and fabrics can be used to create a special doll. Your doll can wear leggings to coordinate with the dress by changing the upper and lower legs fabrics. Or just change the upper legs for shorter leggings. The options are limitless. These one of a kind dolls are sure to be a hit for the younger ones. Hoop two layers of mesh cut away stabilizer. Spray the stabilizer lightly with temporary spray adhesive. Stitch the first color called Head Placement Stitch. Use a thread color that blends with your fabric choice. PHOTO 1 Place Face fabric (5 ½" x 6") right side up onto the stabilizer, being sure to cover the Placement Stitch. Stitch the second color called Head Tackdown/Center and Attach Point. Stitch the Nose, Cheeks, Lips, Mouth and Eyes. Stitch the next color called Hair Placement Stitch. PHOTO 2 Photo 1 Photo 2

Place Hair Appliqué fabric (4" x 6") right side up over the Hair Placement Stitch. Stitch the Cut Line and Tackdown. PHOTO 3 Carefully cut away the excess appliqué fabric. PHOTO 4 Stitch the Hair Cover Stitch. Clip all jump threads. Place the Back of Hair (5 ½" x 6") fabric right side down directly over the first piece. PHOTO 5 Stitch the final color called Seam. PHOTO 6 Remove the hoop from the machine and the fabric from the hoop. Using pinking shears, carefully cut out the stitch n turn project close to the stitching line. Cut around the stitches at the opening to create a tab. PHOTO 7 Clip corners as needed. Turn the project right side out. Use a chopstick or point turner to turn out corners and curves. Stuff with polyester fiberfill. NOTE: For a smooth project, use small amounts of fiberfill instead of large pieces. The larger pieces appear lumpier. Fold tabs in and slip stitch the slit closed with hand needle and small stitches. PHOTO 8 Continue stitching the remainder of the pieces to make the doll following these instructions. NOTE: Only the Doll Face 1 or 2 Appliqué and Lower Legs Appliqué have an appliqué. The rest are only stitch n turn. Doll Assembly Lay your doll out as shown here. PHOTO 9 Stitch the upper arms to either side of the dress together lining up the X s and placement lines using buttons. You may want to use a large clip to help hold the pieces in place while stitching. PHOTOS 10 & 11 TIP: To make the pieces easier to sew, squish the stuffing out of the area where the X s and placement lines are. Attach the head next, matching the placement line of the head to the top of the dress. Place the pieces right sides together and bring needle through all the layers taking close stitches one way and then crisscrossing back over the stitches. Knot to secure. PHOTOS 12, 13 & 14 Next attach the upper legs, matching the placement line of each upper leg to the bottom of the dress, following Stitch N Turn Dolls Instructions Photo 3 Photo 5 Photo 7 Photo 9 Photo 12 Photo 13 Photo 4 Photo 6 Photo 8 Photo 10 Photo 11 Photo 14

the same method of stitching. PHOTO 15 Next attach the lower legs, matching the placement line of each lower leg to the bottom of each lower leg in the same manner. Last, attach the lower arms, matching the placement line of each lower arm to the bottom of each upper arm in the same manner. OPTIONAL: Attach flowers to either side of the head. Your doll is complete. Stitch N Turn Dolls Instructions Photo 15
