Champions of Record are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes classes will be judged prior to the regular breed classes. The winner of each class will compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes. Dogs shown in Puppy Sweeps must also be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular entry fee on the regular entry form. Indicate your Sweepstakes class with the age division in the space provided for "Additional Class". Dogs with major points may be entered in sweepstakes. Champions of Record and dogs which have completed the requirements for an AKC Championship prior to the closing date of entries for the Sweepstakes are not eligible to compete. Fees must accompany entries. The Club and/or Show Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry form by the owner or agent. All entry changes must be submitted in writing to the Show Secretary before closing. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of error or cancellation of entries received after published closing date, nor in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the Show Committee. If, because of riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no entry fees will be refunded. A Recording Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show and Obedience Trial. The Recording Fee is to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club JUDGING Exhibitors are responsible for having their dogs at ringside for judging when the steward calls for the class. Judges need not wait for dogs holding up class judging. Dogs may leave immediately after being judged unless needed for further judging. Dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed competition, provided this transfer is made prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at the show. TROPHIES No trophies for Sweepstakes Class Winners. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging ring to the person exhibiting the dog, who will be considered the owner or his agent. All claims for trophies must be made during the show before the completion of judging. No trophies will be mailed. A special rosette for every dog or bitch finishing its championship or obedience title at this show is offered. Exhibitor must claim it during the show. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, them, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to AKC. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11. Section 3.) 5.
