After a dog earns a title, it may be transferred to another class in a future trial, even though the closing date for the trial has passed, provided the club offers transfers. A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner s records the handler and dog are eligible and the dog has completed the requirements for the title after the closing date of the trial in which the advanced entry is to be made. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit. Transfers between an A and B class at the same level are allowed. 4

3 ATTENTION EXHIBITORS The Show Site will be available to exhibitors from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day of trial. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately after close of show on Sunday, June 29, Per Sections 1 & 2 of AKC s Dealing with Misconduct, the Show Committees reserve the right to retain Show Committee jurisdiction over exhibitors whose names have been referred by hotels/motels as having left their rooms and/or grounds in a state that appears negligent or offensive. The exhibitor will be responsible for picking up after their dogs at the motels/hotels. Please bring waterproof covering to put under your crates. REMINDER TO ALL SMOKERS: The Trade Mart Building is a SMOKE FREE BUILDING. No dogs will be allowed in the restrooms by order of the Mississippi Fairgrounds Commission. Dumping of dog food into the restroom sinks or toilets is strictly prohibited, by order of Mississippi Fairground Commission. Exhibitors are responsible for picking up after their dogs on the Fairgrounds. Do not allow your dog to urinate/mark inside the building or on the front of the building. Any exhibitor who does not clean up after his dog is subject to an event committee action. The Jackson Obedience Training Club assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or to any of their dogs or property & further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Any & all damages caused by exhibitor, exhibitor s dogs or children will be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control & restraint over their children during the trials. WAIVER OF RIGHTS The Jackson Obedience Training Club reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate, and all persons attending the JOTC trials hereby waive any claim for damages against the clubs for such removal. Jackson Obedience Training Club, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Breed and Group trophies: Trophies will be handed out once all placements have been issued for classes in which the dog is eligible for a trophy. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show - None will be mailed. A $5.00 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations made prior to closing of entries. There will be no refund for duplicate entries. PLEASE NOTE: Refund of entry fees for bitches entered in Obedience that come in season after closing date of this show may be obtained by sending a veterinarian s certificate to the Trial Secretary. This certificate must be postmarked before the opening day of the show or given to the Trial Secretary before the start of the show. A $5.00 service fee will be deducted from refund. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Trial Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Trial Secretary will add a $30.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Trial Secretary. The Jackson Obedience Training Club, Inc. does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for these events. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. LIMITED ENTRIES (8 hours per judge) Entries will be limited in accordance with Chapter 1, Section 27 of the AKC Regulations. Each judge will be limited to a total of eight hours of judging time per day. Entries will be processed in the order received and time limits calculated for each judge until the 8-hour per day judging limit is reached or entries close. Obedience UDX Class and Rally RAE Class entries will be given priority. RAFFLES JOTC WILL HOLD SEPARATE RAFFLES SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. You may put your raffle tickets in the bags of your choice. Raffle tickets will be drawn mid-afternoon on Saturday and at noon on Sunday. The winning tickets will then be stapled to the bags. RV PARKING RV parking with water and electrical hookups available at show site. Reservations cannot be made in advance. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs, which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
