Paramedic Pediatric Medical Math Test Name: Date: Problem 1 Your 4 year old pediatric patient weighs 40 pounds. She is febrile. You need to administer acetaminophen (Tylenol) 15mg/kg. How many mg will you administer? Problem 2 The acetaminophen packages come in liquid form 160mg/5mL. How many ml will you administer to your 40 pound patient? Problem 3 Your pediatric patient needs epinephrine for a sever allergic reaction; you need to give 0.25 mg IM. You have a pre filled syringe with 1 mg/ml. How much will you waste in order to give the correct dose? Problem 4 The ECG of your adolescent patient shows SVTs, you decide the right drug to use for the rhythm is Amiodarone. It is give 5mg/kg. Your patient weighs 100 lbs. Problem 5 An 8 year old child who has been recently ill has symptomatic bradycardia. You decide to give Atropine Sulfate.
