(The meeting will be held in Polish) Presentation by Joanna Lassota, Marcin Lassota (LASSOTA I PARTNERZY Law Office) There is a very fine line between creative freedom of the artist and the right of the person portrayed in the footage material to protect their own image. How to tell the difference? Is it sufficient to show the true image in order not to violate the rights of personal portrayal? When does not the artist need the consent of the interested party to use their image in the film? In the course of discussion panel the guests will investigate the issues concerning the rights of personal portrayal which is very often overlooked in film industry and its restrictions that have a noticeable impact on expressing artistic visions of the filmmakers. Moreover, the topics of getting the consent to use the image and protections of the personal interests used in a documentary, a reportage and a feature film will be thoroughly discussed. Analyzing the real life situations the participants will debate on the limits of creative freedom in the context of protections of the protagonists image in the film. Part 2 DOCUMENTARY LOCATION OF THE KRAKOW FILM COMMISSION (CASE STUDY) (The meeting will be held in Polish) Participants: Katarzyna Wodecka Stubbs (Krakow Film Commission), Anna Zajączkowska (Afilm) The meeting is devoted to the terms of the cooperation between a producer and Krakow Film Commission in the context of the documentary film. Case study will examine the characteristics of documentary development process through the exhaustive analysis of two examples The Lust Killer by Marcin Koszałka and View of Krakow by Magdalena Piekorz.
