1 FIS WORLD CUP NORDIC HOLMENKOLLEN March 11 12, 2006 Dear Ski Friends, On behalf of the International Ski Federation (FIS), the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF), Skiforeningen and the Organising Committee of FIS World Cup Nordic Events in Holmenkollen, we have the pleasure of inviting the National Ski Federations to participate in the FIS World Cup Nordic Events in Holmenkollen in March. Holmenkollen is known to have the best winter sports spectators in the world. We hope to show you once again that this is not a myth. Doping Control Anti-doping testing may take place during the event according to FIS rules. Insurance All athletes have to be insured through their national Ski Federation. The organiser is not responsible for any injury to person or damage to property. All attendants have to be covered by an adequate insurance policy against accidents, illness and civil liability. Ski Test and Waxing Ski test and waxing areas are situated close to the stadium.
2 Transport Transfers from Gardermoen airport or from Drammen to the hotels in Oslo are free of cost for the entire participating teams, according to FIS rules. During the stay the organiser will provide transportation between the hotels and Holmenkollen Ski Stadium as well as to the social events, free of charge. Athletes and coaches travelling on their own between the airport and the hotels will be charged NOK 100,- per person. The ski-jumping teams travelling by bus from Lillehammer to Oslo Friday evening will be charged NOK 200,- per person. Bus fare from Wasaloppet to Holmenkollen will be NOK 250,- per person. Drammen is responsible for transport between Borlänge/Falun and Drammen/Oslo. Attaché Service The teams will have an attaché with knowledge of the team language. The team captains will get all necessary information on arrival in Holmenkollen. Information concerning weather reports, social events, program, etc. will be given regularly at the team captains meetings and also in writing. Accommodation The Organising Committee of Holmenkollen will pay for the accommodation according to the FIS competition rules. In case of less competitors and officials than entered, no-show has to be paid.
