BEFORE YOU START: BACKUP IMPORTANT DATA! Upgrading your Yarvik tablet will erase all user settings, user installed applications and user data from the internal tablet memory. Always make a backup of important data (e.g. by copying it to a MicroSD card or USB drive). If present, remove your MicroSD card before upgrading the firmware. Yarvik cannot be held responsible for any data loss as result of the use of this upgrade. CHECK APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY If you are using third party applications, please note that some third party applications may not (yet) be optimized for this upgrade and may not be working properly when reinstalled on this upgrade, or may not be installing or working at all. Please consult the developer of third party applications to check whether their software is compatible with this upgrade version. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE RIGHT UPGRADE FILE! Each Yarvik tablet eligible for an upgrade has its own, very specific software upgrade file. Please make sure you have downloaded the correct upgrade file for your specific model. Software upgrade files meant for other models are not compatible and will damage your tablet! Subsequently, the use of software upgrade files meant for other tablet models will automatically void your warranty. CHARGE THE BATTERY Make sure the battery of your Yarvik tablet is fully charged prior to performing the upgrade. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS The software upgrade tool neccessary for upgrading your Yarvik tablet requires: - PC or laptop with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 with administrator rights; - USB port. This must be a port directly in your computer. USB hub/port replicators are not supported! Page 2 of 9
