1 Download/Firmware upgrade instructions Point of View 10 TAB-PROTAB30-IPS10-3G Preparation notice: Upgrading the firmware of your device may enhance the performance and functionality of your device. Incorrect followup of the steps described in this manual can cause irreversible damage to your tablet. Backup all your information before continuing and thoroughly read the instructions before taking action. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware by matching it with the item number and version number on the back of the tablet. 1

2 Check the serial number which can be found on the back of the tablet and on the retail box. To find the correct version for your tablet, check the 4 numbers behind T28 (as highlighted in red below). 3 Power off the device. If you are not able to power off your device continue to the next step. Press and hold the Volume + button on the tablet and press the Reset button once (while still holding the Volume + button). 3

4 In Windows you will hear a sound that there is a device connected. Press the Start button, right click on Computer and select Manage. In the newly opened window Computer Management, select Device Manager from the menu on the left. In the right side of the screen, right click on the Unknown device and select Update Driver Software. 4

5 Manually search for the driver by selecting Browse my computer for driver software. Go to the location where you have downloaded and unpacked the update files. This should be similar to: C:\TAB-PROTAB30-IPS10(V1.0)\Driver\x86 (32-bit systems) or x64 (for 64-bit systems) \ xp \ 2000 \ vista \ win7 \ win8 Note: Please choose the correct folder for your operating system 5

6 Press Next. When Windows asks if you want to install the device software select Install. If the Windows Security window pops up, press Install this driver software anyway. 6

7 When the installation is successful you can close the window. There should now be a RK30 Device entry available in Device Manager Note: The driver installation only needs to be done if this is the first time you update your tablet firmware. If you already have performed an update in the past, the driver is already installed and you can skip this part and continue updating directly. 7

Go back to the location where you have downloaded and unpacked the update files and double click RKBatchTool.exe. This will start up the Rockchip Batch Tool.

You may disconnect the USB cable from the tablet but keep the power connected to the tablet until the tablet is fully started up and displaying the language selection setting. Note: Starting up the tablet for the first time after a firmware upgrade may take longer than usual.
