ARRIVING TO BUDAPEST 1. How to find my way to the city from the airport? There are different options to get to Budapest from Ferihegy Airport. You can find all the information of transportation on our web page: http://www.kategora.com/en/como-llegar-del-aeropuerto-de-budapest.html We would also like to inform you that KATEGORA has a pickup service in the airport which takes you to your apartment in Budapest. 2. Where and when should I pick up the keys of my apartment? You can pick up the keys of your apartment in our office. Our schedule is from Monday to Friday, 10.00 A.M. to 18.00P.M. KATEGORA BUDAPEST office address: Liszt Ferenc Tér nº 5. 1st floor, 6, 1061 Budapest, Phone: +36 132 124 37. A member of our team will accompany you to your apartment. Every tenant will be given 2 sets of keys of the apartment, a key of the building block door and the key of the mailbox. Outside the office working hours, the keys will be given directly at the apartment. 3. What options do I have if I get to Budapest when KATEGORA s office is closed, in weekend or holidays? If you arrive in Budapest late at night when the office is closed or during weekends and holidays, you can take advantage of KATEGORA 24/7 service. A member of our team will attend you, giving you the keys and taking you to your apartment. 4. Do I have to Exchange money in the airport? Do I need HUF? We advise our clients to exchange only a small amount of money in the Airport, just the cash needed for the first day, because the exchange rate is not very good. After checking in the apartment and during your stay in Budapest, you would be able to exchange money in the city at better exchange rates than in the airport. YOUR APARTMENT IN BUDAPEST 5. Could I reserve the apartment before going to Budapest? We recommend you to reserve the apartment before your arrival to Budapest, because all the apartments of similar characteristics have the same price, making no difference if it s the first or the 6th floor. The first clients who make the reservation are the ones that take the advantage of choosing the apartments with the best views on the highest floors. Some details about the process: when making the reservation, a pre-contract is signed by the two parties and the client makes a rental deposit consisting of one or two months rental fee. 6. What type of services do the apartments have? The apartment buildings are new, they have elevator, parking lot, cleaning services, fire alarm and garbage collection service. 7. Do I have to sign anything when receiving the keys of the apartment? When the tenant receives the keys of the apartment, both him/her and KATEGORA sign THE CONTRACT and the INVENTORY attached to the contract. At

the same time, the water and electricity meters are checked as the tenant arrives to his apartments. The process is similar when the tenant checks out from the apartment, checking the inventory and the water and electricity meters. 8. Do I have to buy household appliances? The apartments are fully furnished and equipped with all the household appliances needed (detailed in the inventory attached to the contract) as it follows: washing machine, iron, vacuum cleaner, TV, microwave, refrigerator and coffee machine. 9. Where are the apartments located? KATEGORA offers apartments for rent in 4 new apartment buildings: _ Royal Residence: Trendy fully furnished apartments located on Marek Jozsef Street, 14, District VII, Budapest, at 20 minute travel of Károli Gáspár University, 12 minutes walk from the city center and 10 minutes away of the beautiful Városliget Park. _ Andrassy Rose: Luxurious apartments in the heart of Budapest with excellent public transportation to all the areas of Budapest. Situated on Rosza Street 84, District VI, at 15 minutes travel from Károli Gáspár University. Rózsa Street is a vertical street on the famous and beautiful Andrássy Avenue, where there is a M1subway station (yellow line). Also 10 minutes away from the city centre and Városliget park. _ Central Passage: Stylish apartments, fully furnished and decorated, located on Paulay Ede (Király) Street 3, District VI, Budapest, next to the elegant Andrassy Avenue. The building is close to the main subway station of Budapest (where the 3 subways lines gather), different buses and 2 trams. Taking the M3 subway (blue line), there are 2 stops till Károli Gáspár University. _ Topaz Haz: Awesome fully furnished apartments with high quality materials, in a brand new building located on Cserhát Street 22, District VII, at 20 minutes travel from Károli Gáspár University and very near distance from Keleti, the main train station. Városliget, the park also known as the lung of Budapest for its fresh air and pure oxygen, is only 10 minutes away. If you are interested, KATEGORA could send you the map with the precise localization of the apartments, as well as information about public transportation around the city. 10. Are the apartments safe? Yes, they are. The apartments are located in good areas of Budapest, on newly built properties (of less than a year) and they have all the necessary security measures. 11. How many people/students could share an apartment? KATEGORA offers studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. Depending of the apartment s type, a maximum of two people could share it. 12. What type of relationship would I (the tenant) have with the owner of the apartment? Each owner has assigned a personal adviser of KATEGORA. For this reason and in order to quickly solve any of the issues that may appear, KATEGORA will be the agent between the tenant and the owner. If there is any issue to be taken care of, the tenant gets in touch with KATEGORA Budapest office which is in permanent contact with the Spanish headquarters to inform the owner (when the case) and to offer the quickest and most feasible solutions.

13. Which is the frequency of paying common costs? How much are the common cost in Budapest? Something as easy as paying the common cost, in Hungary could be a nightmare and normally gives a lot of headaches to the tenants as they have to measure monthly the meters of the water, electricity and central heating. Next step they have to take would be calling each company to issue an invoice of the expenses. And the process doesn t end there, as the tenants have to wait long hours in a line in order to make the payments, and on top of it, we shouldn t forget about the language problems as the employees of these companies only speak Hungarian. For this reason, to avoid all the trouble that this situation could generate and at the demand of our clients, KATEGORA offers the possibility of making the payment by bank transfer, presenting Qdea service. QDea, the information technology programme similar to electronic banking, offers to the customer the possibility of seeing all the expenses of the apartment and online control of all the costs. Qdea permits the tenant to save time, money and forget about the headaches, offering all the comfort and accuracy. The prices of the common costs in Budapest are around 0, 80 /m2 monthly. 14. Knowing that in Hungary winter could be quite cold, what could be the central heating costs? We advise our clients to control the central heating costs in the coldest months of the winter, setting the radiator on the lower heat mode when the person is not in the apartment. That helps save money, as we know that without any control, the invoices could get to 80 /month. 15. When is the tenant supposed to make the monthly rent payment and how? The tenant is required to make the rent payment by bank transfer, until the 5th day of each month. 16. Does the tenant have to make a rental deposit? Yes, the tenant has to make a one or two month s rental deposit when booking an apartment. 17. Is there an emergency phone service? Yes, KATEGORA offers to the tenants a permanent phone service for particular situations of emergency related to the apartment. IN THE UNIVERSITY/ LIFE IN BUDAPEST 18. As a student, what formalities and arrangements do I have to make when arriving in Budapest? There are different visa formalities that the foreign students (citizens of European Union) have to make when they get to Budapest. The first days in Budapest, the student has to go to the Emigration Office of Budapest (on Budafoki 60 Street) with the following documentation: o Property document of the apartment (KATEGORA will facilitate it through the office of Public Registry of Property in Budapest. Approximate cost: 10 ) o Health insurance o Rental contract o Bank account statement o Certificate from the University (to ask for at the university)

For the student coming from outside the European Union, there are a few more documents needed. KATEGORA could facilitate the full information on request. 19. Is it necessary to open a bank account in Budapest? Yes, it is very useful to open a bank account in Budapest in order to reduce the bank transfer charges. By using this method, the family could make money transfers to the students avoiding additional bank charges and saving money. There are fewer charges having a Hungarian bank account, than using the visa debit or credit card from the country of origin. 20. What is it better: to use a Hungarian mobile phone or the personal mobile phone from my country? In order to use your own mobile phone, the first thing to do is to activate the ROAMING service before leaving your country. Nevertheless, it is an expensive service and for that reason we advise you to buy a Hungarian mobile phone, which would be more practical and would save a lot of money on local calls. To speak with the parents and friends from your home country, we recommend to use SKYPE, the free internet based call service. Need an apartment for rent? Have more questions? Call us. We re always ready to serve our customers. 21. How do the appartments look like and what are they prices? two months caution is needed at the contracting!!!!!!!!
