This project required the establishment of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, development of a volunteer board, and effective fiscal and personnel management. Project Director "Beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)" - a statewide training initiative funded through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. As a part of this project, funded for three years, I researched and wrote two technical assistance guides for community colleges to enable them to better serve students with disabilities. In January of 1994, I organized and conducted a statewide ADA conference in Austin for counselors and other staff of Community Colleges.
