p.o.s.a. open system architecture The p.o.s.a. server Due to its modular layout, p.o.s.a. is extremely flexible. What modules are used on what computer or server and for what purpose depends on the configuration. According to the requirements, the functions can be assigned to one or several computers or servers. The p.o.s.a. servers can be configured flexibly and connected to the network freely. This allows to assign the server tasks to various computers or administer them on one server. In addition to a number of software functions, the p.o.s.a. servers also allow the connection of modules, e.g. signal recognition of third party suppliers. Depending on the number of cameras, users, alarms, infrastructure and the range of functions, and owing to the adjustable architecture, the optimal solution can be found for the respective project. The multiserver principle avoids the single point of failure as well as an unnecessarily high load on the computers and the network. If the server fails, the other servers can take over its current task depending on the configuration. The flexible video management system Main components of a p.o.s.a. system: Connection, management and control unit Main functions of the p.o.s.a. server: Alarm and event handling management of all system events and alarms Video management activation of video sources, switching of data rate, frame rate and resolution 6 Control of pan/tilt units PTZ control and camera configuration User administration granular user rights can be assigned, i.e. according to time, per camera, per user or per alarm Device management (stream profile switching and dynamic bandwidth management) Switching network control (virtual matrix) video data streams are switched via the network to user-defined outputs, the virtual matrix replaces the analog crossover switch The logbook records all system events and alarms Host communication to superordinate management systems availability of the video system s whole range of functions to a superordinate management system via host interface Job handling for (user) roll management dynamization of user tasks and demandoriented assignment and cancellation of responsibilities Open and flexible 7 Advantage of the multi-server principle: The load on the computers is reduced and the risk of a single point of failure is averted

MMI Flexible operating concepts through customizable user interface Visualization of site maps Free configurable alarm areas Navigation with configurable buttons Support for various control units Multilingual interface Increased system security through complete locking of the control ratio to the operating system Display of streams without ActiveX component Get the smallest detail with three clicks 1 1 2 3 4 2 3 4 5 Monitor connection Selection and arrangement of monitors in the event of an alarm Camera control Pivotal camera control functions Navigation bar at user station Automatic camera control and display settings Recording and playback control Intuitive, context-oriented and customizable; selection, display and playback 5 6 7 Action planning Depending on alarms, system messages and time of day, different action plans can be implemented Protocol / log Customized layout and arrangement of events Digital monitor Free arrangement of video sources 6 Mouse tracking Click on a position in the live image to center that position on your screen. Now the pan/tilt units can be easily and accurately controlled using the mouse even if the connection has delays. Panorama view By clicking on a position in the panorama image (freeze image scanned once), the live image shows the respective section. The size of the section to be displayed can be selected freely in the panorama image. Thus, even very high focal lengths can be handled easily even if the connection has delays. Mouse tracking in combination with panorama view With three user operations, small sections can be displayed in detail while the user does not lose orientation (see illustration). 1. Step: Selection of a scene in the panorama image The p.o.s.a. MMI is not just a graphical user interface (GUI) that has been hard coded for all applications. The p.o.s.a. MMI will be tailored to your individual requirements so that your surveillance tasks can be carried out customers have a wide range of demands as to their individual video surveillance. The p.o.s.a. MMI allows you to freely customize the user interface of your video surveillance according to your own and your staff s preferences. 8 best. 9 Transport services, banks, hotels, watergates (water transport), prisons, nuclear power plants, local public transport, the retail sector etc. all sectors as well as the respective All alarms and events can be freely configured and integrated in an optimized workflow. This ensures complete recording and processing of any events within a short time. 2. Step: Display of live image with additional option 3. Step: Detailed display of live image
The p.o.s.a. NVR The intelligent recording system The p.o.s.a. NVR (network video recorder) is a fully scalable and flexible high-performance recording system for all digital video sources in your p.o.s.a. system. Data is recorded on one or several storage systems with built-in redundancy. You can link any number of NVR servers, hence the recording system provides an unlimited scalability. It is also possible to install the NVR servers in a redundant layout. Depending on the configuration, the servers can be protected with a 1:1, 1:N or even an N:M redundancy concept. Recording modes Recording can be event-driven, permanent, manual or scheduled (data is stored while monitor displays image). Of course, lead time and afterrun time can be set as desired for manual and event-driven recording. Access to recordings can be scheduled for every camera either for individual users or for user groups. Thus, access rights for any recording can be granted to authorized personnel only and restricted for anyone else. Data is streamed in multicast mode to reduce the load on the network resources. Playback For optimized analysis of recordings, replay can be performed synchronously in groups instead of just a single replay. Playback control can, among other things, be operated via a timeline, a recording list or the alarm log. For enhanced data security, it is possible to mask sensitive areas in playbacks afterwards and user right dependent (Post Privacy Masking) in addition to the masking in live images. Export The stored (proprietary) data can be exported in AVI format. If you intend to use the data as evidence in court, you can also use the proprietary PSV Format in combination with our lean and intuitive player which does not require installation. The export speed is only limited by the hardware used. In order not to overstress the hardware, however, the export speed can also be reduced. Recorded sequences can be deleted manually (user rights required), automatically after the retention time or when the setting for storage utilisation has been exceeded. Within the NVR system, all NVR components can be configured centrally, controlled and managed remotely across the network. The NVR solution is therefore a good alternative to conventional DVRs (digital video recorders) which are increasingly difficult to handle with growing system size. Static backward object search Static backward object search is another feature of the p.o.s.a. NVR. It allows the user to mark a suspicious object in a recording. The p.o.s.a. system then automatically shows the sequence where the object appeared first (see sequence of images). The suspicious object is marked Camera Backward search within the present recording IP Camera 10 11 Pan/tilt head p.o.s.a. p.o.s.a. The p.o.s.a. Multiview Client The system for your large-screen display Industry and system solutions Proven technology tailored to suit the task A multiview client is used to operate a basic monitor wall. Large-size displays (e.g. 60 ) can be used to flexibly display multiple video screens. The multiview client PC controls the video screens and can change the layout as needed. Each video screen has an individual target address and can therefore be used as a separate decoder-controlled monitor, which is able to show both live images and recordings. In addition, one client workstation can control several displays. If that is still not enough, you can link up multiple multiview clients and control them comfortably from any operator station. Protection of transport infrastructures Rail network and stations Public transport Airports Streets and tunnels Waterways and ports Protection of supply infrastructures Power plants and energy suppliers Supply lines Public and executive authorities Finance and health Security services and personal protection Public places and city surveillance Buildings Areas Recreational facilities Jails Individual and user-friendly 12 13 Advantage of the multiview client: Individual display of live images and recordings according to the requirements.

Less strain on infrastructurer Multi-server architecture The multi-server architecture allows the implementation of high-performance systems. However, high-end hardware is not required. Quite the contrary due to dynamic load distribution, resources of the whole infrastructure are used sparingly. Protection against failure costs The redundant design of all p.o.s.a. components ensures error-free operation in case of malfunctions of single components within the video surveillance system. In the rare case of malfunction tools for local or remote diagnostics ensure quick fault recovery. Optimized multicast network Very low network and server load saves infrastructure and reduces the necessary computer requirements. Furthermore it increases the performance of your system.
