Digitally Signing the Bank file generated in PDF format for submitting to Bank There are two software for digitally signing the bank file generated in PDF format before submitting to Bank in which Assistant Director of Agriculture has opened his/her Bank Account for E-payment. 1. Adobe Reader Version 11 2. Xolido Sign Among the two above software Adobe Reader version 11 is more user-friendly. ADA can use any one of the above software for Digitally Signing the PDF file. As per clause -7 of the Service Level Agreement(SLA) between Banks participating in the e- payment system of Agriculture Department and The Director of Agriculture,Banks have agreed not to insist for any paper document or CD s of beneficiaries list. Digital Signature Tokens from M/s e-mudra were given to all ADA s in the State for e-payment. 1
The process of Digitally Signing the file involves the following steps 1. Downloading and installing the Software for Digital Signing in ADA s computer.(adobe Reader version 11 or Xolido Sign) 2. Installing the Digital Signature Token in ADA s computer (e-mudra Watch Data Token Tool ). 3. Downloading Bank file in PDF format from EBT software. 4. Digitally Signing the bank file using Digital Signature Token of the ADA. 5. Sending the Digitally Signed bank file in PDF format along with the bank file to the Bank from the Official email Id of the ADA(Bank file is for uploading to the software of the bank and pdf file is for verification and satisfying clause 7 of Service Level Agreement and Section 3 of the Information Technology Act 2000 for paperless electronic transaction authentication) [ Steps 1 & 2 are one time processes. Steps 3 & 5 are to be done for every Bank file.] 2
Step -I A. How to download and install Adobe Reader Version 11 in the computer of ADA Type Adobe.com in your web browser click on the menu. 3
Double click on Adobe Reader 4
Download and install Adobe Reader by clicking on the Install Now button 5

Open the Installation file from the Downloads folder of your computer or left bottom side of your home screen. 8

Once installation is complete the Desktop Icon of Adobe Reader 11 will be visible in your desktop. 14
Step - II Installing the Digital Signature Token in ADA s computer Plug in your Digital Signature Token received fron e-mudra to the USB port of your Computer. 15

Double Click or right click the file emudra_user.exe to install the file to the computer. 17

Once Installation is successfully completed the e Mudra Watch Data Token tool will be displayed in your Desktop 20

When the Digital Signature Token is active the following icon [emudra_u(1)0 bytes] will be visible in your Desktop along with e Mudra Watch Data Token tool. You can make sure the installation of Digital Signature by going to the Programs and features menu inside Control panel by following the screenshots given below. 23

If you see the emudra Watchdata Token Tool inside Uninstall or Change Programme menu Installation is complete. This is an one time process once it is installed you can directly digitally sign the documents by following the steps given below. 26
Step-III Downlading Bank file in PDF format from EBT software (after generating Bank file from EBT Software you can download bank file in PDF format by following the steps given below) Log in to the EBT site www.ebt.kerala.gov.in Select Bank Transfer 27

Select Scheme, Year, Time Period, Disbursement Type, Bank Type, List No then Click List Button 29
First generate Bank file and then Generate PDF as shown below. 30
Click on My Computer Icon on the Desktop and select the PDF file from Downloads folder. 31
Step -IV Digitally Signing the bank file using Digital Signature Token of the ADA Click on My Computer Icon on the Desktop and select the PDF file from Downloads folder 32
Right click the file and open it using Open with Adobe Reader XI 33

Select Get Document Signed option from the drop down menu of File. 35
Select Place Signature button from the options given on the right side of the page. 36
Click on the Drag New Signature Rectangle button in the Adobe Reader Window. 37
Place the Rectangle at the bottom of the e-payment records. (Below the last row as shown below) 38
Choose the following options Sign as Choose the name of the Digital Signature holder and Click the Sign button. 39
Save the Digitally Signed PDF file in a sutable location in your Computer. 40
Enter your PIN Number you have received from emudra in the white rectangle of the window and click Ok. 41

Digitally Signed file will display the details of Digital Signature as shown below. 43

Step -V Sending the digitally Signed bank file in PDF format along with the bank file to the Bank from the Official email Id of the ADA. Since the e-payment file is authenticated by using Digital Signature in accordance with provisions of Section 3 of the Information Technology Act 2000 there is no need for submitting any Signed copy of print outs or Cd s to the bank.
